Clifford has one real value: Physicality. He's a secondary face puncher. I don't think he's really that good at being a face puncher inasmuch as he's better at being the face punchee.
He's not being physical in the games I've seen.
So if you're not hitting, not grinding, not winning battles on the boards, and the only time you're involved in face punching is to give the other team momentum by getting your own face punched, you might not be an NHL player anymore. - Monkeypunk

So, does their lack of recent playoff success factor into them being a juggernNOT this season? Because now I'm confused. - mjones242
Not enough mental scar tissue on them. They'll be out in the first round. |

The thing I wish the Leafs could improve primarily is the danger from the point. The Leafs are the worst team in the NHL that isn't some poop team in producing offense and goals from the D. |

Was one of my main reasons for adding Klingberg.
They don't shoot much from there. |

As much as Holl sucks, still better than Marincin. That said, Marincin is better than Kyle Clifford. If Clifford never suits up for another Leafs game, I ok with it. - winsix
Agreed. Clifford was a bad idea from the get go. |

I don't know, Nylander going up against 3rd line wingers... Seems like a good matchup, he should be able to feast on them |

I want them for free
I'd love Lehkonen regardless though, the guy is a solid 200 foot player and with being an RFA and his finishing troubles I would say he wouldn't be expensive to resign. 3x2.5M and he can replace Kerfoot. Not ideal but given the Leafs cap issues its not a bad loss. |

They could have had DeAngelo for about $1M - granted he's a douchbag, he would be pretty good on the PP and Holl and his $2M could have been given away free to a good home.

Each team picks 3 players to kick field goals. If tied, they keep going through more players. Works for hockey and soccer. More skill than calling a coin flip.
Actually, the Ravens had a good idea. One team chooses a spot on the field and the other team decides if they will take the ball or defend. Same rules in terms of first touchdown, etc but at least there’s strategy. - Canada Cup
Shouldn't we first play five minutes of seven-on-seven football? |

who plays left and right D on the Leafs? Don't follow the team enough to know who plays on which side and I am way too lazy to look it up. - Symba007

Lehko has great work ethic, I see many teams being interested in the player if he is made available. |

He is an RFA at a decent QO, that holds some value alone.
Any team that trades for him could trade him in the offseason to recoup picks if they wanted to. |

Lets be real. The Habs want to lose as much as possible the rest of the season and likely even next.
No one helps them with that as much as Holl does. The definition of a win/win. |

Like I used to say; sign him and educate him in proper behaviour. Let him sit between 2 'non pencil necks' and just kick him out/down if it doesn't work out...
Imagine the difference for the Leafs - Holl out TonyD in |

Foligno was worth a 1st for the very reason Chiarot is...it’s the NHL. Guys like Lehkonen are worth far less than what guys like Chiarot and Foligno are. |
