Well, the leafs playoff "pushes" are usually only one round....so sure why not.
- Fakepartofme

I'm sure PK can take them to the first round.

Baker? I wouldnt trust him on skates at all.
I havent watched the Isles at all...so really dont know much about him. He's big, only has $682 g's cap hit for the rest of the season and a 1.45 cap hit next year. So he's not a rental, which is good.

I hadn't even realized Wood hadn't played a game this season. What's his story? He's definitely a player, when healthy, I'd love to see on the Leafs.

Habs tragic number is about 4 more losses. Another ho-hum 8-2 loss.

I know, but I think Soucy would slot in nicely in this lineup.

Assuming they were able to successfully trade for him;

I wouldnt move Dermott for Schenn though.
Who replaces Dermott in the line up? Not Schenn. He's a good 7th and can fill in here and there but on a permanent basis? I dont know.
Im ok with moving Dermott out for someone better and bringing in Schenn as a 7th dman..for a late late late pick.

- Fakepartofme

I kind of agree. I think there's some recency bias at work here - Dermott has sucked in the past couple of weeks since more has been asked of him and he's just not stepping up. The disappointment of him never really stepping up past that 5/6 spot is probably fuelling half of this - that and watching him just get pushed around makes you start to question his real value to the team.

Schenn, has been had games where he's pulled top-4 minutes for the Canucks, but he has also been a healthy scratch on some nights. So you have a bit of a mix there.

Surprisingly, when Schenn plays more than 18 minutes in a game, the 'Nucks are 6-1; in games where he's played more than 19 minutes, they're 6-0. So he's not been a liability on that team. Almost all of those games were under Boudreau.

Under Boudreau when Schenn plays 18 or more minutes, they are 5-0, but when he plays fewer than 18 minutes they are 3-4-2. There must be another correlating factor there because the Luke Schenn I know isn't a key contributor!

id guess then they are leading they play Schenn more
when they are trailing they play more Offensive D

they have been winning with BB..so could make sense

That would make sense. Schenn can shut-down relatively effectively, he's just not a play driver so if you're losing, you probably don't roll him out.

Just cheap depth.

Think they trade Dermott for picks and keep Holl.

If they add a D then Holl is in the bottom 5-7 and you have Schenn as your 8th D.

Lol. Neil Young tells Spotify he wants his music off their platform. “You can have Joe Rogan or Neil Young. You can’t have both…. Spotify has a responsibility to mitigate the spread of misinformation on its platform. At present, Spotify has no misinformation policy.”

I still think there's a decent chance that P.K. Subban pulls a Jason Spezza this offseason and signs with the Leafs for around the league minimum

I saw a tweet this morning speculating that Subban will pull a Spezza next year and sign in Toronto for minimum.

I don’t hate that.

- Atomic Wedgie

I wonder how far they explore trading for him.

If the cost is still cheap with adding another team and getting his cap down to 2.25M it could be a nice add. You get rid of Ritchie in the deal as well?

Then that leaves the Leafs with another 1M in deadline cap space which prorates to 4M at TDL day which you can use to get another forward(Jarnkrok, Crouse, Lehkonen)
