I love my country. It's nice to see there's a few of us with our balls still intact and willing to stand up and fight for our vanishing freedoms. Shout out to whoever captured all these beautiful moments.

'Beautiful moments' means driving your idiotic, gas guzzling, wannabe monster truck down a highway against the backdrop of a cheesy Bryan Adams ripoff soundtrack?
To somehow paint your actions as 'heroic' or 'patriotic' is the absolute height of your solipsism.
Next time, keep driving - right across the border. THAT would be beautiful.

You know what's depressing? Seeing the Leafs, who have seemingly improved their performance from last season, sitting in potentially a worse spot despite being a better team.
If the Leafs face BOS, FLA, or TBL and lose in the first round, should Dubas lose his job? Should the Leafs blow up the Core 4 and pivot hard in another direction?
The situation is absurd and, granted, we are only roughly half way through the season but I'm not feeling confident about this team's chance to get past the first round, let alone make a deep run.
I guess the TDL will give us some better idea of where this team potentially sits but I remain, as ever, cautiously pessimistic and no amount of Mass Formation Psychosis will change that. - mjones242
Yes, big change has to occur if they do lose. No excuses at all.
You wanna win a cup, you have to beat teams like bos, tb, fla.
The leafs blew their "easy road" chances last year.

Willy's strong season makes this extra intriguing. Can he drive that line and then 3 lines could be a matchup nightmare. The depth guys have done so well too that a healthy Leaf forward corps looks pretty good right now. - Zezel
Kerfoot already drives the 3rd line...so willie wont have to. Just get open and go balls deep!

I think the excuse is, "but there were monsters in the Atlantic". And it is a legitimate excuse as the 1st round matchup could be absolutely horrendous because the ridiculous playoff format.
To win the Cup you need to beat teams, sure, but your chances are much more difficult when you play much more difficult teams.
The Leafs lost John Tavares minutes into Game 1. That was a significant loss and shouldn't be underestimated. There was no "easy" path once the Captain went down.
