That's why Ride the Lightning and Master of Puppets were more intricate and melodic - because Cliff was a student of music and an actual prodigy. In grade 3 he was reading at a grade 11 level.

Then it just turned in James and Lars turning up their instruments on And Justice for All and drowning out Jason Newstead's bass - if they weren't hazing him and being incredibly cruel to him because they didn't know how to deal with Cliff's death.

Everything after the Black album is terrible. I lost all respect for them after that terrible "Some Kind of Monster" documentary. And St. Anger aqlbum has to be one of the worst albums in music history.

I can see a 2nd and a 3rd at least... First is pushing it. I honestly hope they keep him to and slotted in the right spot.
