They've been running for like 25 years on the rep of the first 8 seasons. It's like Nintendo: remember 35 years ago when we brought you Mario and Zelda? Well we have no good new ideas but here's a new Mario and Zelda, buy our system

one could argue though that the simpsons weren't able to stick to the original "recipe" that had made them successful/entertaining, while Nintendo are still selling games like crazy while keeping their classic characters.

Like Mash, my late 2 cents on the whole pandemic issue, and the various mandates and rules.

First, long before COVID even became a household name, I was a concierge in a condo occupied by many Asian students going to U of T. If they had the sniffles, or felt ill, they masked up. I found it odd at first, but learned that after SARS, it became simple human decency and courtesy to mask up, to keep from spreading illness. Because that's what masks are for... Not to avoid catching, but to keep from spreading. I honestly see us doing the same in the post pandemic world.

In regards to the vaccine, I think the biggest hurdle is the use of the word vaccine. We hear it, and think of polio and smallpox, and therefore anything short of eradication means it's a failure. This isn't the case. Figures out of yesterday's new cases in Ontario boost this. Don't remember the exact details, but there were over 3k new cases, and around 300 in hospital ICUs. Considering where we all started with this pandemic, and the amount of patients who are in high risk situations, this is a staggeringly positive result. Yeah, we can make it all political, but in the end, it's about saving lives. And the vaccine is working. Period. Is it perfect? No. But to deny it's efficacy is just foolish at this point

Nintendo began as a card company. Their ability to adapt was key to their longevity.

Not only are they keeping their classic characters but they are finding new ways to plug them in new games. Personally i love Nintendo and i think it’s THE best option to initiate kids to video games. Mario platformers and kart are great initiation games and then, when the kid masters that he can move on to Zelda which is a great action game but with great puzzles as well. And as an adult i have both the Switch and the PS5. During the pandemic Animal Crossing has been a life saver, i played that for like 500 hours in 2020 believe it or not, just insane. Nintendo has a way to put out feel good games

Listen Karine...I grew up on the internet as a young man playing CS 1.6, COD4 and WOW. I think I can speak to what children want. It's learning how to use the N-word at all times when you die and yelling it in the chat.

This... Both PS and Microsoft are WAY too dependant on games like Fortnite and Apex Legends. Nintendo has consistently put out family friendly games that are desirable for all ages for years now.

X-box owns the distribution rights to 80% of the indie games that are family friendly. No reason for them to fight Nintendo for the one market they dominate. Sony is the one that's (frank)ed. Microsoft bought Activision/Blizz and Bathesda...the end is nigh.

And that's the biggest problem. I always turn off chat options because it's just so bloody toxic.
