I actually think that's cool.

If it makes him care about hockey for hockey, then I'll be happy. If he learns that she's not interested or his interest in her wanes and he drops hockey, I'll be disappointed. For me it's largely because getting our kids actually _interested_ in something that sticks has been impossible.

He's at that awkward age where it's pretty obvious he likes her, but he denies that he likes her, and he is upset that his friends tease him about it. It's possible that he's not even all that conscious about how much he likes her. But you know those changes - he suddenly cares about his clothes, and his hair and he wants to exercise, and little things like a small gap in his teeth have become terribly important things. It's an un-fun time.

I agree with that..

In my case, for our 9 yr old daughter, it's dance.. She was asked to join a competitive team and she's been bumped up a level to the under 11 dance team.

We put her in soccer when she was younger, and she'd dance on the field, had no interest in playing soccer, unless the ball came to her.

The other team I do wonder about is Toronto... The reason that I mention Toronto specifically is that I believe when Ben Chiarot was a UFA and he signed with Montreal, Toronto was in there and they just couldn't make it work

I've been told by multiple sources that I am an immaculate lawn mower and vacuumer. Basically running anything on top of a surface that needs precision...oh (frank) I should get into curling.

Might as well keep what we have. They don't allow cross- checking any more.

I'm thinking that Keefe has seen about enough of the Dermott experiment in the last few games. Know that I have.

With Holl and Muzzin out, is there really any choice other than playing the 6/7 guy regularly?

I won't pretend like I know how the refs will call this playoffs...because I don't.

Chariot is good because he plays a game the refs don't allow in season...but I could also see the refs call him out this playoffs.

No, you're right till they return. So, if Keefe wasn't sure before , I think he has all of the facts now.

We're giving them the opportunities. Dance, gymnastics, soccer, baseball, piano, guitar, hockey, basketball, karate, pottery, coding . . . something will come or come back, but so far there's not a lot of firm interest.

Probably the most difficult thing these days is that because of bullcrap like Tik Tok and Instagram, kids think things come easily to people - and just not them. You can remind them repeatedly that a lot of work has gone into those people crafting their skills, but they never see the work - just the product - at some point they need to have the personal invested interested to want to succeed and then want to put the effort into it for them to recognize and realize the difference.
