Anthony Beauvillier not on the ice either. #Isles

Have to imagine Beau would be at practice even if Trotz was going to healthy-scratch him tomorrow night.

They can only gain ground if the teams in front of them lose and we win. If both win, then it's just treading water. Take care of your own business. Win and let the chips fall where they may. The old saying still holds true today, the games you win in October & November you don't have to win in March & April.

I realize this, but we have on the low end 4 games in hand and as many as 9 on TB, and 8 on FL, NYR, and Wash. Not saying we get there but if they can maintain their winning percentage than they have a shot. Plus I think the schedule gets shifted to play more games in conference as you get closer to the playoffs so they'll have a bunch of 4 point game opportunities which hopefully matter. Who knows.

You don't become the top goal scorer on the team by gliding around doing nothing. I just don't know how everyone else keeps up with his hustle.

So sick of the constant sitting of younger guys to send a message. WTF kind of message does that send? You don't think Bailey could use a friggin seat once in a while.. the guy gives the puck away constantly and does horrificly stupid sht all the time. He doesn't hit, doesn't go into corners and never shoots. But he is too go to sit?

Beau has been playing very well. He is causing turnovers, in the corners, he friggin shoots... I don't know what Barry's issue is with him or Wahlstrom but it's absurd to me.

Beau was missing from practice so some of this may be jumbled up dur to that. Lee being moved to the second line is sort of surprising. Bailey back to the top line unfortunately is not surprising.
Reporters are starting to ask Barzal more about his linemates, to which he is remaining soft spoken about, but he did say that it's been tough buikding chemistry with all of the switching.
I find it especially funny that Barry puts in Bellows with Barzal for one game and exclaims they didn't have chemistry and we never see him on the line with him again. Meanwhile Bailey goes dozens of a games at a time on a line with barzal, being ineffective but continually gets reinserted after any brief experiment.

I honestly think trotz is out of answers and just kind of flailing a bit. He can’t commit to giving anyone under the age of 25 any kind of consistent ice time for whatever reason so his options are limited.

Haha. Bailey being the top playoff scorer in this team is more a picture of what’s wrong with this team then a compliment to him. I know you’re joking btw…

He's way too inconsistent. Disappears for stretches. Not nearly as bad as Failey, though.

I have yet to see anything from him that makes me think he'll ever be special. On occasion he finds himself in the right place for a big goal but he also seems to make a lot of mistakes. He's still young but I just haven't seen any real improvement from him

I see the mistakes also while most on here see someone that works hard. I see someone that flies around out there and more often then not does little to nothing or sometimes, especially this season, has a negative effect on whatever line he’s on. Different strokes for different folks I guess. I for one don’t think he’s worth the roster spot for the 20 good games he has over an 82 game season. Him being in the top 6 is exactly what’s wrong with this team imo.

I am pretty critical of everyone.. Beau is doing things most forwards on this team don't do every shift. Consistency doesn't just mean scoring goals to me.. when he is flying around the ice, forechecking, and causing turnovers... his linemate Bailey is usually floating around the neutral zone.
