agreed. Hughes said he wants offense, a modern organization... all points towards Suzuki.

yup, and judging from that statement he'll surely want to trade Price, question is will he be able to do so... they still have so many games to play this year but holy (frank) I can't wait to know what happens with him.

Number system 0-100. 60 is minimum pass. Then there are grade minimums to get into advanced classes eg. To get into secondary 4 (grade 10) advanced math and science you need to finish secondary 3 (grade 9) math with at least 75% + teacher recommendation.

Some schools have systems where students can't get lower than a certain grade... usually around 45% regardless of what work they've done. Our school does not have that

- mr.peanut

TY for an excellent explanation

Letters pretty much the same as your numbers 60s=D 70s=C 80s=B & 90s-100=A (under 60=F). And like college, there was a running GPA on a 0-4.0 scale, with similar high GPA requirements from previous years to go into AP or College level courses (the later which most undergrad universities would count for credit). So the letter grades were more for each quarter while the GPA is what really counted for advancement and college entrance (though everything went on the transcript).

My HS gave out Es in place of Fs. Literally because they didn't want the kids to feel like F was for Failure, despite that being exactly what it was: a failing grade. Even way back then there was too much PC BS in that particular school system. Glad I don't have to deal with that place anymore.

if by some miracle Carey does come back in 2-3 weeks like Renaud Lavoie is reporting (lol), and he plays well, I'm sure the oilers would want to acquire him as soon as (frank)ing possible (if they can deal something around his salary cap hit, of course).

chassis shake → tank slapper → highside.

should have used a stiffer stick and maybe added a steering damper.

yeah, I don't see it. 1- Price won't come back soon enough imo. and 2- trades with that type of contracts usually happen during the summertime. much easier for teams to manage the cap.

Yeah our universities use letters and GPA, but letter weight varies. 1st uni went up to 4.3 with A+, 2nd up to 4.0 with A as the higest.

In CEGEP they use a thing called a CRC or "R" score. Very complicated system.

Our principal last year wanted a minimum grade because she was one these pro-student anti-discipline ones. Teachers unianimously DENIED her suggestion.

oh I highly doubt it as well, as I was saying my point was IF he does come back in time, and performs to something even remotely close to how he was playing during the playoffs last year, I'm confident the Oilers would be really tempted to act now, it could be a huge turning point for a free-falling team.

i never really had a problem with ties.

unless i drove to north jersey for a non flyers game.

- kicksave856

Yeah, I don't get the reason there has to be a winnier.

Ties were fine, did not need 20 minutes, coulda make it 5 extra minutes and then tie game, everyone go home.

well, if they keep on playing like that, it will be too late 2 months from now. they needed a goalie yesterday.

I know their roster obviously has flaws but there's something wrong with that team, and it seems to be deeper than just the lack of depth or decent goaltending.

like any team, they could use help at some positions, but the goalie... aie aie aie
this Koskinen fellow, he'd be 4th on the Habs, maybe 5th.

and giving Smith that 2-year deal was a curious move to say the least

that's why I think Price will join them this summer. they need to fix this while their 2 stars upfront are still there.

cap considerations aside, they could use Price and Chiarot in their lineup right (frank)ing now.
