I can't wait until the fans stop going to games.. then, and only then, will Comcast make changes. The scary part is that if they do clean house they may hire a bunch of old dinosaur terds and it'll be the same crap.
This franchise needs to go in a different direction and hire some new, younger minds that understand the way that the game is played now.
I agree with everyone who says Clarke and Homer and company have got to go. It's

unfortunately, the Flyers way will grind him down until that kind of slickness is amputated from his skill set.

From the overhead view of recent flyers games they will be feeling it VERY soon, if not already.

Comcast doesn't know how to run an NHL team and they employ a bunch of old school hockey minds that can't comprehend how to compete in today's NHL. Comcast can't see that though since they get their advice and info from the old dinosaurs left at the top.
Also, it should be obvious that our player development is piss poor. ,And our medical staff may be suspect as well after this season of re-injuries.

Hey, what I need to know is if he plays a 200 foot game and can he play all 3 forward positions up and down our linep?

Let's see some highlights of that 1st before we go wanting all that skill on the good old Orange & Black!

they were. they got methodically worked there at the end. they are a pretty talented and proud group. the chiefs secondary is an actual joke.

the OT rules are definitely a let down. I get people resist change but teams really do deserve a chance to match and keep going

He's thrown 9 TD passes in the last two games and he's going home. That one Bills receiver caught 4 TD's today. Mahomes is just too dam good.

I believe the OT coin toss decided the game. Whoever won the toss, was going to win.

Do you reign in criticism based on your employment status?

Where's your in-depth reporting? I'm not sure what you expect from Bill, but you apparently have it out for him for some unknown reason. Would you rather read a Flyers blog authored by Sam Carchidi?

Not to be a Monday morning(late Sunday night) QB, but if the Bills squib kick that kickoff with 13 seconds left that game is ova! Mahomes would have only had time for one play at that point. As bad as it is being a Flyers fan right now I can't imagine being a Bills fan. Wonder if there will be a rule change incoming based on this game? Pretty brutal that Buffalo never saw the ball in overtime. Both defenses were gassed, so whoever won the coin toss was most likely gonna win.

This all started the day they fired Hextall and Scott and Holmgren had that beyond absurd press conference where Scott said he wanted an "action bias" GM. Bob Clarke, you are the greatest player this franchise has ever had. Thank you for the glory years. What I can't thank you for though is that your recent actions have made me have to turn on you and dislike you for your recent behavior. Your services in any manner, and any level, are no longer needed. You don't know how to run a team in the modern day NHL.
Paul Holmgren, what an amazing career you had. NHL player, coach, scout, GM and team President. Amazing accomplishments. Had a good run as GM but the NHL has passed you by, You no longer know how to run a franchise in the modern day NHL. Thank you for your services but goodbye.
To any other of the alumni country club members, other than for anything ceremonial or community related, your influence and insights are no longer needed. Thank you and good bye.

To Dave Scott, maybe you're a good business man but you don't have the first clue on how to run a hockey team. You have disgraced this organization and the legacy of Ed Snider. Just plain good bye

Lord knows, Hextall wasn’t perfect. His drafting record was so-so, he did little to help the team in FA and I don’t think he brought the best developmental coaches. He also didn’t seem to grasp the distasteful, but sadly necessary, politics of his position.

However all that being said, I’d take him back in a heartbeat over the vanilla mediocrity that is Chuck Fletcher. Hextall at least understood what the Flyers meant to their fans and the city.

Plus, Hextall had a plan.

Just like the shootout. Maybe worse.

The rules should be changed so both teams at least get an equal amount of alternating possessions in rounds until one team has the higher score after any round is complete (just like in shootouts but with the varying points for TD, FGs, etc., and no requisite minimum of 3 rounds to start). Any turnovers that leads to a score for the team that caused the turnover should constitute sudden death and they're automatic winners, regardless of how they scored.

There’s never been anyone I’ve enjoyed watching play the game more. I’m convinced at this point there never will be. He was an artist on the ice, straight up.

As far as 21 vs 88?

There’s been No one like Big E before of since either. An animal, a beast. But one guy played with Joe Sakic and had Patrick Roy goaltending, and the other didn’t. Both had big problems staying healthy.

Should be able to stop a team with 13 seconds left from getting into FG range.

For a great as these games were, Tampa Bay, Buffalo and even KC had some major gaffes yesterday.
