I don’t know about how the rest of you feel.

I would rather tank to get Shane Wright, than try and squeak into the playoffs at this point.

we are to far ahead of the bottom 3-4 teams to have a chance at Wright and this is a weak draft. drafting 6 or 16 wont be a big difference. dont tank

No tanking !

I agree - have a franchise with some pride, no tanking.

The tanking that Toronto did for better Austin Mathew odds was pathetic. In a playoff position, fire Carlyle, hire a coach with no experience and leave the team and fanbase to writhe until the end of the season was pathetic. If that is what is happening here then i am done with hockey forever - but forever is a long time.

Agreed, no tanking. Hogtown can get away with that type of behaivor due to size of market.

But, if it comes to the point where moving assets is required, Jets should take advantage of getting picks or good prospects. If soemone gets moved out, plug in a Moose prospect and keep playing them and build experience.

I am looking forward to tonight’s game. Have not had a chance to watch a full game in sometime.

Skipped this one as well. I see we lost to a team that's won maybe 1 game in the last 15. Does that make them better than the current version of the Jets ? Chevy will be a big seller at the deadline because even if the Jets somehow miraculously snuck into the last wild card we would lose to the Avalanche in four straight. With such a ridiculously tough schedule after the All-star break, there is just no way when were chasing four other teams.

It can't be all blamed on coaching, the mass of injuries, Covid, etc definitely had a big effect on the Jets season.

Another good game by Heinola until the inexcusable pinch at that time of a 1-1 game . Cost them a point. And that’s why a young player needs to earn coach’s trust. He had opportunity and blew it. He is good enough to get more opportunities to learn and do it right. That is the kind of thing the ahl can help with, learning the pro game and when to make high risk plays.

A lot of teams have had to deal with Covid and injuries this season, we really need to stop making excuses for this group and realize they're just not very good and big changes are needed.

No doubt they miss Ehlers but aside from him they had a pretty healthy lineup yet they still can't score!

The only chance the Jets have of making the playoffs is if they sick Tonya Harding Enterprises on a couple of the Wild or Preds top players but that doesn't seem like a Chevy move so I hope he gets busy and starts overhauling this roster.

I think that trust needs to be continually be earned regardless if you are a veteran or a rookie. I have seen many of our veterans take many nights off (ahem..Blake Wheeler) and still get massive ice time.

It would have helped if Pionk had played the 2 on 1 correctly. He threw himself to the ice at the puck carrier, taking himself out of the play. He has one job on a 2 on 1, take away the pass. He didn't do it. Gambled and lost, no different than Heinola's pinch.

As I recall there was no pass, it was a shot on net and they scored from the rebound. Not much more Pionk can do.

I agree, however, a veteran player has more track record to showcase their decision making and build the trust. For the record regarding nights off - I would have picked on 55 rather than 26 - he has more to give and needs to step up his game.

How often do the Jets players draw a penalty due to going hard to the net ?
Could it be that Coach Lowry is more stubborn than Maurice when it comes to changing up the lines ?

Yes, mistakes were made, yada yada, Heinola shouldn't have pinched when he did, yada yada, but their goalie outplayed our goalie.

Not blaming the goalie either btw but with this years systems, game plan, Helle has been simply outplayed by their goalie numerous times. Helle still played good, but.... reoccurring theme this year. And, this is a symptom of the overall team play, coaching, players, etc.

41 games in 82 nights, can you weave in another goalie once in awhile for poops and giggles?

I still would have gave Comrie the net last night for his reward of his play against St. Louis.

BTW, I like our young prospects like Heinola and how about that Kovaevic?

I think if there is a very good offer on Stanley, as much as I like Stanley, then his replacement in Kovacevic is getting very close to being ready and is a right hand shot.

Got to free up space for these up and coming D IMOP or they need to be packaged up in some player transactions as leaving these young D prospects too long in A won't be good for managing assets.

Too many on the cusp of NHL like Samberg, Heinola, Kovecic, Chisholm and are pushing big time.

A Manitoban is singing Oh Canada at the All-star game this weekend, will probably be the highlight of the game!

Jets need to sell and start a big overhaul, get younger, faster and find an identity!!!

Only Kyle Connor can score at the all star game and have no one notice.
