I bought a house like this for 265 with finished basement, brand new in 2011. Sold it in 2013 for 270 when my family bought a bigger place for 385. As you’d an see, it’s now 900 and will go for a million.

My place now I bought for 385 and could get 1.3 for it. Not a Mac mansion. 4 br 3.5 Bath 2 story with finished basement.

I think Beady is creating this bizarro world where pegs is fronting when he is quite smart.

At least I’d be living on my own but what’s the opportunity cost ?

How much is your kids education going to cost ? How long is it going to take for him to pay it off ?

Would he afford a $750K house at 26 ? Would he be ashamed if he shacked with you to make a better life for his/her family ?

However, I vaguely remember if ever, getting into a name calling charade with you. That also considering we went months debating picking higher in the draft.

Yet, there is common culprit who is always lighting up this blog with personal attacks no matter what the situation.

Why do you have to put all of it down on a down payment. And I don't know how your Parents did it, but as soon as I found out I was going to be a Father I started a College fund for my kids so he shouldn't have to much of a problem. Plus he worked his A$$ off to get some pretty good Scholarships. And to tell you the truth I would tell him to buy a fixer upper for his first house and fix it up. Most people sell there first house to move into a bigger house as there family grows.
