if you've been saying that for four years, you missed a very good spike and record low interest rates...
just sayin - Michael Pachla
4 years ago I was still in university with no savings and uni debt to pay off.
Now Iβm 26 with six figures saved and no debt, now Iβm waiting to buy a house at a more affordable rate instead of forcing something for no reason. |

It's almost as if it's not possible to rent an apartment for 1,000 dollars a month and still save money and invest and potentially mortgage a house...
I mean, I'm just a loser who works in a factory, Pegulaville's words, and with my measly salary that's probably half of his, I can afford said apartment, a vehicle payment, multiple credit cards and still have disposable income to blow on non-sense and trivial objects. |

Except the average price of a house where I live is $750K and rent plus utilities would be $3500-4000 a month

No. You've said a thousand times. You don't want to pay for an apartment. Not all apartments are 4k after utilities. You just think you're above it.
You've said a lot of things on here over the past few years man. All of them painted a pretty clear picture of who you are. You gloat and brag about yourself on an internet hockey blog on an almost daily basis. To a bunch of dudes. And you throw back-handed comments all over the place.
You brag about how great you are and how much money you have but you live with your girlfriend's parents because you think you're above paying rent. It's gross. You're gross.

well, aren't we the fancy one with a condescending attitude towards us little people who've aqcuired all the bumps and bruises, heartaches and triumphs (however big or small) of living on our own?

Oh, so you can afford EIGHT houses for 165k but not ONE house for 1.3 million?
Which is it now? Smart or cheap? |

Stay in my own lane, just cause you want to live in a mansion. My house is probably bigger than what you would drop that supposed 750k on. Again being smart with your money and making money of your investments. |

What I am sure there are is good housing if you look that won't cost you 750k, unless you are doing it just to look good. |

It was hyperbole, but in order to make a point one has to go to extreme measures.

Canadian housing market is in fact, unacceptable. What Pegs wants is a McMansion in a nice Canadian suburb. That's fine.
Where I had to draw the line is how he literally tells us for 4 years how dumb we are, how successful he is, yet he cannot see the flaw in living with his girlfriend's parents despite his supposed success.
He talks about what a man he is, yet he won't be a man and pay for some privacy for him and his woman while he saves money for a house. Like a man would do. |

Does not compute. Overpaid and sucks. Needs an elite center to score. |

I get it. I went to the Flyers room for a little pick me up but actually got bummed out for them. The things that stick.

No, Iβm staying with my in-laws because there wonβt be a time again in the short future where Iβll have a possibility to have this much money in the markets.
Because I want to make some life changing money to support my spouse and my soon to be new born instead of having that money tied up via down payment in housing that is at bubble like levels not seen before, or wasting it on rent.
Iβm playing the long game here.
We are a sneeze and a fart away from a recession here. Itβs a matter of time.

I know. I already called out on it. The long game is waiting for her dad to die.
You attack people's occupations. You attack people's wives. You attack their wages. You attack their finances. Yet you can never actually go right for the throat and attack any of us because you've proven time and time again, you're not the better man.
Lord knows I've butt-heads with more than a few on here. But even after all of the back and forth between me and homie or me and 36, you know what? I still respect those guys because they are CONSISTENT. They stand their ground and they make their points. We've all said stupid things and crossed a line.
You take it beyond just bickering on the internet. You go out of your way to try and prove what a successful and enviable person you are and you always go for the lowest hanging fruit at the most opportune time.
Yes. An opportunist plays the long game. A Leopard might get a solid meal every day, but he does it jumping down from a tree on an un-suspecting victim.
A Cheetah runs at it's prey head-on. It might not always pay off, but when you actually WORK for something, it makes you better. |
