Allen isn't bringing back that much, teams know what he is, a great backup but not an everyday starter - Takemedrunkimhome
I feel like that's worth something decent to some teams.

If you trade Price at 5.25M per season, I'm god damn hoping it's for a decent return.
Despite everything, most teams would love having him between the pipes during the playoffs. - Scabeh
I agree...Habs don't need the cap space for a while anyway. I'd even take back a poop contract around thatb $5.25m hit if it were for a only this year or maybe next too if it produced decent increased value of futures |

If they're willing I'm open to something along those lines. If they're willing they're pretty dumb too. I'd imagine you could eat some and flip Keith too |

Goaltending is still the most important position in hockey, no matter how many McJesus and Dry-cycles you have |

I love it.

McDavid and Draisaitl immediately see the situation and defect and create Edmonton Oilers Wolfpack leaving Kassian and Cody Ceci in the black and white. It's just 2 sweet |

Allen is out 8 weeks so forget trading him, that brings us right at the deadline. Besides in a rebuilt you want goalies at reasonable price and thats how u can afford to eat up some of Price’s salary. Im confident Price will waive is nmc to go to a contender or at least a team that isnt 32rd…Edmonton or Colorado come to mind. I know the oilers are struggling but a good goalie could turn things around for them |

I wonder if Price will be ready for the deadline though, when Molson said the #1 priority was his health it had me thinking he's not so close to a return... |

Moving a salary the size of Price, given the cap situation of both the Habs and the majority of teams who would want to acquire a player with a large salary is going to be really tough in season/at the deadline. Seems much more likely as an offseason move just due to cap situations alone...dollar for dollar moves are tough |

what I find concerning about this is I'm not so sure teams will be interested in acquiring him and giving a significant return without even seeing him play again, considering the issues he's currently dealing with and his injury history.

In mTL HOF reporter or not, he would have been stripped of his press credentials and hung on the wall à la Handmaid’s Tale lol
Price is the type of deal you make in the offseason so everyone has time to make the money work. I could see that deal happening at the draft tbh

I'm convinced Price is gonna have to play a few games with the habs before he's moved though |

His resume speaks for itself, worst case you may need to make his medical records available to a team looking to acquire. Either way there's not many teams who can absorb a deal that size in season and there aren't a lot of teams with space to use as cap dumps. A stagnant cap is going to make dumping salary a lot harder and more likely to happen offseason. Chiarot is attractive for a lot of reasons including at 50% retained he's only a $1.75m cap hit |
