Yeah, Edmonton media all happy about the potential signing of a real jackass in Kane but get all bent out of shape when one of the league’s leading scorers isn't happy about the current situation the team is in or line of questioning. - bloatedmosquito
I don't believe all of the media is on board with signing him.
Fair enough, but if Pouty was producing at the rate of Draisaitl I wouldn’t mind him being so pouty.
Media gets upset when they don’t get their sound bite. Going rates are generally four cents per published word. Most sports “journalists” are selfish wieners who don’t care about much other than producing 500 words or more.

Oops flagged by accident. I was going to ask if you and driftwood were almost done that Whinecraft game you were working on?

Going rate for playing in the NHL is far more. I haven't heard many questions by journalists that don't represent a faction of the fanbase. So I don't really take offense to the people making a living asking them.

Meh, I'm sure he's been around forever, doesn't mean he's immune to being an ass sometimes just like any other human on earth
I don't think it was a good look for either of them, but I think I'd be annoyed by that reporter too, I think most of us here would be - Nucker101
Matheson was definitely an bumhole in that exchange. Leon is a frustrated athlete on a long losing streak dealing with a douchebag who thinks he's entitled to dig and probe into an actual performer. It's embarrassing for all concerned but I don't think Draisaitl is the bad actor here.
Now I know how hockey players feel after being asked a stupid question. - bloatedmosquito
It truly is remarkable how some can still moan while the team is doing well, particularly about a player that finally looks to have busted his slump. Whinecraft, the trade of the true fan.
I sort of agree with Brooks_Light , they are in a playoff hunt , I don't see big moves being made.
Definitely won't be trading Petey anytime soon and after this road trip I don't know if the team is close or a poser. Covid is sure making it hard for Canadian teams to get traction.
Everyday is just another day, play the game and move on to the next one. - VANTEL
Rutherford has an itchy trigger finger, I’m expecting a roster shakeup, whether it’s TDL or draft

I still think it will be guys like Motte moved not Boeser. Maybe in the Sumer the bigger moves. - VANTEL
I don’t think Motte will give the same cap room as moving Boeser does. Boeser will want 6.5-7.5/season... and the way his speed is now with him almost at his peak... he’ll be on the decline within 5 years.
Better off to get picks and prospects that might be cheaper options down the road in 3 years when this team is competitive.
