Still a happy bachelor here pal.

if a girl is getting a ring from me shes going to need to have to chill with some things

- stayinthefnnet

Yeah I kinda thought so.

Good luck finding that girl. Chances are (not a certainty but chances) your future trajectory in that domain will mirror that of the Flyers re: picks.

1. You will think you have beaten the odds and can mess with that order.
2. Then you will realize you haven't and can't.

eh. its a wide swath out there. just because im not married doesnt mean im single haha

i wont turn this into a relationship forum, but if you prioritize your person and treat them with what you would want, that takes you home a lot. find someone who doesnt sweat the small stuff, or who at least shares a similar view of what the small stuff is as you do.

that being said, despite my reshuffling of the deck chairs on the titantic to put the drinks before the shower, neither would have cut the line in front of a welcome home hug/kiss for the girl haha

I dunno about that.

Btw, this thing about mom and basement.... he didn't say he lives with parents. He said parents live with him. Parents were elderly and ailing and he was a caregiver. He made the comment about coming straight to basement after work because he did not want to transmit Covid to them...

He doesn't post 24/7. His first post, like clockwork, is between 7-8 AM in the morning, probably right before he goes to work. He rarely posts after midnight.

you are entertaining.

No one even knows wtf is wrong with Ellis1. So who knows when or if he will be back.

Ex selke2 will likely be banged up every year going forward imo.

"Laughts3" lol.

what free agents can they add that have more speed and skill? Saying they can be much better next seaosn means schitt when you look ar where they are presently.

The thing with Frost is I don't know what is going on off the ice, in the gym, at team meetings, practice time, etc. and neither do you. Obviously the coaches see him all the time and have determined what he is capable of handling. Last night he started on the 4th line but moved to the 3rd line with JVR for more than half the game. Plus Frost is playing on the 2nd PP unit. To me he is getting his shot but he is not taking advantage of it so far. He is just not making plays, even a 1 on 3 play, where he is trying to make something happen, that is my concern with him right now.

The Flyers organization as a whole has been abysmal at player development. I haven't heard of any reports of Frost not putting in the work. So they played Frost with a player that you think the Flyers are going to buyout and an AHL call up. What an opportunity.

i dont know if theyve been atrocious on a large scale. i think id need to see more names/examples on either side.

that being said, what they are doing with frost now is nonsensical. this is not a team in the thick of a race. evaluate the kid and lets see what you have there. dont try turning him into a grinder to teach him some archaic lesson on earning time.

For god's sake, stop your petulant whining. Nothing I said was intended to be personal for its own sake, or off the mark or less than what you deserve on merit.

Come home, have a warm shower, kiss the wife, and open a cold beer. And don't mess with that order of suggestions.

- PT21

The lack of self awareness is astonishing. You call someone an illogical amnesiac and then state that it wasn't intended to be personal. In your eyes I deserved it so it's not personal

Here is what I don't get. Why does someone who claims and thinks he has a superior intellect to others have to resort to that? I know when he can't logically understand a simple statement that an opinion is not based on a personal expectation.

If I'm the Flyers I take whatever deal you can with whatever team you can to get Giroux out of Philadelphia.

Moving forward the best course of action, in my opinion, is to absolutely clean house but keep Provorov, Farabee, Hart, Sanheim, Frost, & York. Fire sale whatever you can for whatever anyone's willing to pay and stockpile prospects and picks. Bring in Briere as GM allowed to do a 5+ year total rebuild. Perhaps Rick Tocchet could coach?

Every player is an individual situation. There are many ways you can mismanage a player. The Flyers have often adhered to philosophy that you point out that a player has to earn an opportunity before being given one while the player stagnates. Instead of realizing that the player missed a bunch of time, probably has some confidence issues and needs time to find his game. The best way for him to do that is playing with other top players. They have an opportunity here when the season is obviously lost to gain something for the future. Give the kid a real chance.
Other players such as Couturier, Provorov and Myers were all mishandled as young players. Flyers players routinely fall short of draft expectations.

It's like this: and this is only an analogy. Say a student of mine turns in a paper that is worthy of an F. That person gets a F. There is nothing personal about it at all nor is there any intent to hurt.

Now, as to why I need to announce that conclusion, given that this is not my classroom; because honestly, I tend to be very blunt and direct in my manner (a failing), and because to not say that would be like having a debate with someone who is drunk and not point out he is drunk. That latter fact interferes and influences the debate itself and so becomes part of it and is thus fair game.

Now, lets talk about something else.

im open to the idea of cutting the team slack for "rushing players". that can be a tough line to toe.

however, i am with you on the archaic making skill players play down to supposedly learn defense/grinding etc. that line of thinking is going to hold the flyers back organizationally moving forward. I get the sentiment, but it just doesnt fly anymore.

myers i agree with. he got yanked around a lot. provorov and couturier may have been a lot out of necessity.

So you logically fail to understand that giving a student an F based on his work is not a personal insult. You didn't give him an F while calling him an idiot. Again with the lack of awareness.
Personal insults are never fair game regardless of whether you feel it's warranted. My opinion is certainly fair game. Attack that all you want but just be willing to accept the consequences when it doesn't go your way.
