Thanks for the input. I've done some deep dives into his analytics and they're honestly a disaster and while I don't watch a ton of MTL games, from the eye test I can verify some of what you're saying, but I don't think any of that is a worth a 1st, let alone a 1st plus more assets.

I'm also just curious to see how this market pans out. Because of how things are panning out in the West it looks like there may be less sellers, so I don't know if that will give leverage to buyers with less teams bidding.

I think that you’re generally right that Chiarot is being overvalued. However, the supply of effective top-4 gritty defenders is very low. He and Klingberg are pretty much opposites in playing style, so if you’re a GM looking for a solid and big-bodied bruiser defender, Chiarot is the #1 option on this market.

Chiarot is not a top 4 on any contender. He's a 3rd pair vet. Other LD rental options would include Calvin DeHaan, Kris Russell, Nick Leddy, Marc Staal, Nick Holden. Lindholm is a legit top 4 guy that could get moved.
