Is alex Tuch not a winner ? They're building a culture with the right pieces to make sure going forward everyone knows if you're not with the program your out
- gerbe75pts

but you will not win anything with the girgens, eakins, pysyks, haggs, subban, anderson, bjork, hayden, butcher, dell, tokarski, houser, caggiula on the roster

you still need top end talent

which is fine, but you need actual talent and wins to go along with it.

Losing this much will trump that "We want players who want to be here" culture so fast.

Guys will get sick and tired of it.

Wonder if the flyboys pawn off Coutourier before the NTC kicks in
- Hank Balling

he checks a lot of the boxes, esp if it was only a 4 or 5 year extension

Bit different. He was part of the Eichel trade, so they had to give us a winner, not just a salary dump

You're not wrong, but outside of Girgs and Bjork, all these guys are gone. Houser, Subban or Tokarski might get a minor league deal, but the rest are pending UFAs.

If we figure Mitts, Krebs, Quinn, Peterka, Power and RyJo are opening night additions, with UPL taking a spot, you've upgraded talent in a lot of meh positions on this roster already.

first you need to get johnson to sign

and then you have to add 3 or 4 more impact players to round out the roster, not scrubs

odds okposo gets moved this summer

actual cap hit is only 4 mil

sabres could eat 3 mil and it would cost the team 1 mil to play him in the fall

counting on two rookies to take big minutes on defense is a tough ask.

So him being on a winning team doesn't make him a winner he was part of that success and was a huge part

Winners placed on a team built to lose and planned by management to lose next season.

Down playing the daily effect losing has by just firing everyone who doesn’t like it hasn’t worked since Terry two times got here.

It’s the same plan, suck/draft high/plan the parade. This organizational better be prepared to lose 2/3 more core players before they decide it’s time to compete.

Lol, anyone off that team would have been a winner because, umm, they win.

With all due respect to those guys, that is a lot of unknowns.

yes we are excited about them but they could end up topping out as mid tier guys.

Its entirely unknown.

Krebs has a lot of growing to do over the next two seasons, IMO. He seems like a fit as 2nd line center who is primarily an assist guy.
