Both 6’3”

Dallas isn’t trading either or Heiskanen

things aren't going great for them, it'd be silly for them to get rid of any of their good young players

I can see them moving on from benn, seguin and pavelski

They would probably take Robertson to play with his bro

Right now they're basically 2 points and a projected 2 points away from a wildcard spot. They're doing this with Benn and Seguin playing like they're both 10 years older than they are. If they don't amp up their play, Dallas is sunk - Benn is making $9.5m for 3 years after this one (he has 9 goals / 17 points in 35 games); Seguin is making $9.9m for 5 years after this one (he has 9 goals / 13 points in 35 games).

Pavelski is still great, but he submitted a 3 team trade list as a part of his NTC. He makes $7m this year (and then UFA), so he's probably fair game if they falter . . .but while I agree with you, I can't imagine ANYONE wanting to take on Benn in particular, or having the room to gamble on Seguin despite his obvious talent.

Svechnikov just got a penalty for the backcheck hit thing.

That's been a play in hockey for how long now?

Yeah.

I mean, if they want that to be interference, then it needs to be called every time it happens. This is basically the first time I've seen it called and not praised for being a good hit/play.

the oilers just need to try harder and then they will win

A goalie with league average goaltending would be suffice.

Such BS.

The back hit is one of the only things D men have left that keeps forecheckers second guessing when they want to try to plow the D man into the boards.

Leafs don’t need fwds at the deadline.

Just a offensive Dman like John Klingberg.

Ritchie, Robertson, Dermott, 2nd for Klingberg and Pavelski 90% retained salary.

- Arctic_AARDVARK

Dont need an offensive dman...specially klingberg.
Need a depth dman who knows how to play his own end.

Actually they just need a goalie.
If the oilers had Campbell, theyd be close to where the leafs are.
But all they need really is average goaltending.

This all the way, the pairing that needs to be better is the shutdown pairing. So either Holl and Muzzin get their game turned around or that will remain the biggest risk the leafs have in their lineup (excluding major injuries)

Rask's stat line tonight is ugly if he is on both of your fantasy hockey teams.😫
