Judging an individual by what language they were proficient at first is no different than judging someone by the color of their skin their gender etc. it’s another form of nonsensical hatred. Remember when they drafted Guhle (i think it was)? And he said something along the lines of: "On est content c'est un bon choix, le gars il est épais...euh ben vous savez ce que je veux dire". Mistakes like that can slip in when you're translating what you're saying in your head instead of just thinking in the right language. I'm just saying someone who speaks English doesn't have that problem when speaking to other GMs.
