Quartexx represents a couple of Habs players (including Josh Anderson) but Hughes personally doesn’t (https://puckpedia.com/agent/kent-hughes )so there is no conflict of interest. Gorton is joining the team in Dallas today, i assume he’ll be telling the players and the nomination will be announced to the media snd the public. (Thinking tomorrow not to take the focus off today’s game although the way they play, a distraction would be good lol)

What bothers me about Kent Hughes is that according to rumours he doesn't seem sure he wants the job.

To me it's crazy to have that much talent and continue to peak and get worse at midseason year after year. The guy has never built a winner anywhere including college...they're a division team so I'm happy to watch them flounder but if they were smart he'd be out already

Kent Hughes has been named the 18th general manager of the Montreal Canadiens.

They had to announce it after I broke the news earlier in this thread, he got a 5 years contract

Yeah that one, watching Allen destroy the Patriots was fun, and the Bengals game would have been better without the botched call/erroneous whistle. But those refs aren't allowed to call another game for the remainder of the playoffs.
