Steak (especially when cooked indoors) is one of the toughest things to get right when you have company. If the guests have various preferences on medium, well, ect that is the first challenge. Three easy things that should be done, make sure any steak you cook sits on the counter till it reaches room temperature, use a good meat thermometer (I use MEATER - there are others some better some worse) After you get the steak to the desired temperature, make sure it rests the recommended amount of time before served. - winsix

Huh? a 7th round pick?
Who cares, no issues with a 7th round pick to use on depth.
You are just looking at the Foligno deal and acting as if that is going to happen every time now. - Santo_44

In hindsight sure.
In reality Freddy was not healthy and JC had played like 10 games that season and was a backup his entire career. Needed a goalie.
Depth is needed for a cup run, the Leafs didn't go on one and that's on their star players who didn't show up. |

Same! As well as they have played most of this season, no guaranty they will get by the 1st round, expecially knowing that even though they will likely get over 110 points, they will face one of the top 5 or 6 teams in the NHL while a team like Colorado can roll over a poopbag team like San Jose. Forget any trade unless it improves the team now and down the road.

One of my favourite beers ever was a Piton lager at a roadside food stand in St Lucia. It could've been piss in a bottle and it wouldn't have mattered. It was perfect in the heat and with a plate of jerked chicken and rice n peas.

Dude had a (frank)ed back 5 games in.
And no it is not, the Leafs aren't making moves to get them through 7 NHL playoff games because hindsight tells them that's all they need.

Sure wish Pittsburgh used your logic. Would have had one less consistent great team to worry about the last 2 decades. |

I hate when we invite company over for a Q, get some great steaks, and one of them wants it well done... I understand it is their steak, but Christ. |

If you think we have everything we need to get through Fla, TB or that we can bring in who need money in/money out then we can stay away from rentals. Otherwise, we can’t afford anyone very pricey.
I think we’re a good 2nd pairing guy away from a serious move and that means rental market. I don’t care about prospects and picks after Matthews is gone (and I’m dead) |

Love my Weber but the best steaks I've made have been on the stove.
Heat cast iron pan on broil ..take it out and put it on the stove top ..fire the gas burner up to high ....oil and season your room temp cut ...3/4 mins per side on the stove top and she's wonderful.
*Put the hood vent on high and open the windows ...she's going to get smokey but it's worth it.
Once a year my wife and I share a Tomahawk and cook it on the stove ...I'm drooling just thinking about it. |

Regardless of what prospects they have, he drives the bus on the Leafs success.
Just like Crosby and Geno in Pitt. much easier to get Kase's, Rodrigues's, Rust's, Bunting's than getting a Matthews or Crosby.
Going on some deep runs now is so crucial. Much more crucial than keeping a 2nd round pick to draft us a 3rd liner in 4 years. AM and Marner aren't staying if they can't get out of the 1st round.
The Atlantic will stay good for a long time. |
