Alexander Daigle went first overall too
- Fopa21

What's your point? Going 1st overall is not the same as being voted for the Selke. One is based on your talent against lesser skilled players and the other one is based on your ability offensively and defensively against NHL talent

Part of me wants to let CC rot. Don't move him at all even if he ask!!!

That being said still look for an ext to be signed lol.

I take the good return back. This is after all Fletcher. When he goes to the Rangers watch Patrick Nemeth be the contract that comes back with picks/prospects.

- hello it's me 2050

Very very possible . Actually could be a package Braun and CG for Nemeth..pick and prospect

You like many seem to relate points to being the be all end all. It’s old but if it was he would of been a contributor to all the team Canada’s he couldn’t crack line up on.

Yes, He puts up points offensively. Yes, he wins face offs. Does he play defense, no. Does he hit, no. Can he lead & bring guys together to buy in & play hard, no. One dimensional.

- Fopa21

So he isn't one of the best 12 Canadian forwards as judged by their GM who assembles the team. He still is one of the top 192 forwards in the NHL. That's all I said.

And you listed two things he does well; that makes him two dimensional. I guess counting isn't one of your skills

Fopa21 sounds like the second coming of "Chris" on this site, who did nothing but make the same posts every day complaining about G as team Captain.

We should never do anything that does, might or could help the Rangers. Never.

The Flyers should do anything that helps improve the Flyers. If that helps the Rangers short term for one season, so be it.

How could he be one of the top 10 NHL players in points like you said but not be one of the top 12 Canadians? Counting isn’t a strong suit but seems odd

Yes, I think we can count on the Rangers to make a decision that would help us in the long term. You don't see a lot of trades within divisions and between rivals in any sport. A one-way trade with the Rangers is unthinkable. With our current management, I would not expect them to "win" a trade in light of Ellis and RR. So, nope.

You don't but I'm just saying don't say no to a good deal just because it is the Rangers.

I don't disagree but the bar would have to be high, like Hershel Walker trade high. Also, I just don't trust CF to get this or any other decision right. Otherwise, we help them and get nothing comparable back and that would add insult to injury.

The bar would be set the same as if it wasn't the Rangers. The bar is take the best satisfactory deal. Don't give him away and don't just take anything but take the best deal. If that comes from the Rangers or the Caps, so be it.

I like RR, I hope he stays. I think he brings an element that the organization desperately needs. He’s not a #1 but definitely a good second pairing D man. However, I would not give him anymore than 5 mil per year.

Zero. They have 2 young Dmen waiting in the wings for a spot and dont see him as the vet 3rd pair guy they would want as a rental for playoffs

Not even if it's the best deal the Flyers are offered. That's shortsighted

Please point to where I said he was top 10 in points. I said he was top 192 forward in the NHL in response to someone saying he wasn't a top-6 forward on any team.

There is a difference between being able to play in all situations & playing in all situations because you’re the face of the franchise/they have no one else. You understand that right?
- Fopa21

He can play all situations, meaning special teams. He can play all three forward positions. You don’t even know what you’re talking about

Frost 4th line LW with Bunnaman in the middle, should pick up his game...

CC would not Pk on any playoff team nor would he be out in the last minute nursing a one goal lead. Get a clue

Yeah. That’s a weird d pairing. I personally like braun with provy rather than sanheim. I haven’t looked at the stats but Just from watching.
