Flyers coaches and GM are "playing scared" and this slop you're seeing is the direct result.

It's why you're trading a 1st for Risto. It's why Frost is playing on the 4th line. It's why it took COVID to call up York. It's why Nate Thompson, Brassard and Keith Yandle are not only signed, but playing every game (you know AV would've had Nate in the lineup every night if he wasn't hurt). It's why you made a desperation move for an injury prone supposed #1 with 47 years left on his contract.

The ONLY solution that I can ever see POSSIBLY working (barring a blockbuster trade for a player that can actually play hockey gud), is if the goofs at Comcast hire a knowledgeable hockey President with some fresh ideas of how to build a competitive team in the 2020s AND allow him to hire a GM and a coach that are told up front they will have x years of job security to make an impact. That x has to be more than 1 year, btw. Guys can't be coaching and GMing scared to death of losing their jobs. Let the players know up front that the coach and GM will not be fired for x years and if the players can't perform, they will be moved out.

No more NMCs. No more contracts over 6 years unless it's Connor McDavid Jr. No more long term contract to anyone 30 or over. No trading 1st round picks unless it's for a stud, not an ok defenseman on an expiring contract. If you suck, so be it, but you better hit on your draft picks. No one on the current roster is untouchable if the deal is right. (Not even Hart, even though it pains me to say that after suffering through the Swiss cheese we've had in goal over the years.)

Guess what else? If there are any more fans left after this crap show season, we're going to have to deal with it. Again.

I have spoken.

Just click the edit button, copy everything (CTRL+C), cancel the edit (pressing submit won't do anything if you haven't changed anything), then post what you copied (should be in your clipboard now) as a new post in the latest thread. It should be best if you have both threads up in separate browser tabs.
