True, but this year he hasn’t shown reason to get the ice time. When he was first brought up he wasn’t on the fourth. He’s played both center and wing on elevated lines and hasn’t been able to do much. He’s earned his spot on the fourth.

Well that'll be great when another young player doesn't develop because he never earned the ice time that he needed to develop as a player. Rather than making an investment in the player and giving him the best chance and opportunity to succeed. Meanwhile the team is in the process of losing it's 8th game in a row and is quickly reaching bottom feeder status in the league. Hey, keep doing what you're doing. It's working very well.

No. If CC was a better leader ZM wouldn’t be the Flyer who routinely shows the most effort tho TK was decent tonight

This is very obtuse thinking. I don't think he should be a top line player, and I'll bet that MJL feels the same way. The point is, we're never going to know one way or another if he keeps playing with the dregs of the league.

Top line? Nah, but I'd give him more PP looks, I'd bump him up to for a few games and see what he can do.

- FloHaake
Obtuse...no... I'm thinking clearly. Of course they are interested in Frost succeding. They see the same thing I do. His attributes are speed and a sneaky good shot. He just isn't competing at this level, yet. When they finally give in to the reality that a playoff spot isn't happening, he will get his shot. Again I hope he proves me wrong and next year will feature Frost at C1.

the trade deadline can't get here fast enough for me, CF has got to break this happy group up and get into the top 5 of the draft!

Yea, ole CF is going to work more of his magic and trade his way into the top 5 of the draft. The Flyers may get a pick there but it will be due to the Flyers and CF's incompetence.

I hear what you are saying, but call me old school - I think that you put the best team on the ice to win. Frost may have shown talent at other levels, but so far this season I’ve never seen him win a puck battle, his passing has been average at best. But sure put him on with more talented players, he may flip the switch. But as I’ve said, he’s already been there - wasn’t noticeable.

Go to YouTube and watch Frost's NHL highlight video. He's made a lot of noticeable plays.

I think not. Anyone can have a highlight reel, but over what period of time was it compiled in at the NHL level? Look, I get that you like him, but apparently the coaches, who watch a boatload of video, see what I and others see.

Well Frost has played a boatload of games in the NHL. All of 40 which is less than half a season.
I don't think you seem to understand what I'm saying. I'm not saying that Frost has been so good that he deserves to be moved up in the lineup. I'm saying put the kid in the best position to succeed. Surround him with better offensive players to help an offensive player get going. Where do you think the kids confidence level is? He's literally not playing with a single player that can help him generate consistent offense. Tell me what they've got to loose as the 8th straight loss piles up? Is it at all worth the investment? I understand they had to keep someone to coach the team and they want to do a complete search for a new coach and not rush into it but Yeo is not the right guy. I wonder when the Flyers management and coaches as a whole will get their heads out of their asses.

I’ll be honest, I’m afraid of this what this GM will do in the near future. I don’t see him being fired, although it could happen. If he isn’t fired will he make the right moves to get draft picks or the right player? I have my doubts.

I havent minded his drafts. His player evaluation and moves at the nhl level have been abysmal

I agree with you on many of your points and I did say move him up it might flip a switch, but at the same time he really needs to put forth an effort. When the fourth line is on, I don’t notice Frost, I notice ZM. Not because he’s a tough guy or that he’s talented, but because of his energy and determination. If Frost did that, the goals and assists would come. But in today’s world, maybe he’s feeling low because he’s been demoted so sure move him up to see if it makes a difference.

I really didn’t mean his drafts, I meant getting draft picks in return for trading players. I hope that the Flyers aren’t snookered.

Other than Claude and JVR who on this team did CF not directly acquire or sign to a new contract? I wasn’t a fan of Hextall either, but this is CF’s team
