so not only did the Ducks refuse to let the habs talk with Madden jr. for the GM position, now they're apparently trying to hire Mathieu Darche as well. (frank) them.

I wish my remote also has a WAP button. An instant switch back and forth to the PornHub channel on my Roku for whenever the SWMBO walks out and back into the room.

Also, I'm about to hit the SAP for Collinsworth

The blood gets thinned by the hot climate over the years. It's a scientifically proven fact. No matter how much syrup I drink, maple or otherwise, it'll never thicken back up now.

I'm sure there are a few special ingredients in the water in Florida that compensate for all of that.

Only those with a death wish drink the tap water here. In the old days the aquifer water was good (if you had your own well) but I wouldn't even trust that now. I drink only distilled. I have a home distiller and you should see the poop that gets left in the boiling vessel. Much better than a filter of any kind, even a reverse osmosis one.

But you should know that water never thickens anything. It's nature's solvent.

good for him. perso I think his 3rd on Habs' list, behind Hughes and Brière.

Gorton already knows Hughes and Brière. not Darche.

and yes, I haven't won a Nobel prize or anything but I am aware that water isn't a thickening agent...

ok, but that's a pretty weak reason to hire someone lol... Darche has actual NHL management experience. he should be hiring the most qualified person, not the one he shares the most friends with on Facebook.

hey! I don't make the rules lol
it's who you know Pat, I told you that before. of course if a candidate is way ahead of the others he increases his chances, but if they're close one to another... they'll most likely pick the one they know.

not saying that Brière's ECHL experience is completely irrelevant, but Darche's qualifications are superior, so by that logic the habs should have him higher on their list. already knowing the guy should be considered as a circumstancial bonus, not a hiring criteria.

yeah but Bergevin now has almost 10 years of experience as GM, on top of the experience he had acquired in Chicago... anyway I hope that being "buddy-buddy" won't be the determining factor for Gorton in hiring the habs' next GM, because that would be pretty (frank)ing dumb.

uh ok, but a lot of the circumstances that occurred after last year's cup run were out of Bergevin's control. I know you're not a fan of his, and he's certainly made mistakes during his tenure, but in terms of trading and negotiating with other teams he's proven that he does possess certain qualities that can come in very handy to an organization.

From the Wiki:
"As of January 2022, according to the company, it is valued at $525 million."

yeah I know, as I was saying, mistakes were made...

but still I don't think he's incompetent, and an advisor role in a less-pressured market where he isn't the guy taking all the final decisions might be a perfect fit for him.

meh, I don't think it's necessarily a dumb purchase, the aluminum cans are more environmentally friendly than all the bottled water brands. also I find they did an awesome job with branding their product, the can does look pretty cool lol

Just buying any packaged drinking water in general whenever it can be avoided. I'd rather spend my money on some other type of bottled/canned/cartoned beverages, if you know what I mean, mr.ginnut
