Thanks Carol. Tough trip so far. It’s highly probably this team isn’t a Stanley Cup contender yet, even after going 8-0-1. Jim has his work cut out for him, hopefully he gets a GM in place soon.

JR needs to make a choice. I still think EP will be a star player.
I think it is best to trade Miller and Boeser. Get a RH 3C in one of the deals and futures. Maybe Schneider and Kakko from NYR for Miller? Or Foote+++ from Tampa? Retain to make it work.

Plan for 2 season from now to really compete, and this year/next are development years. Boudreau is a good enough coach to keep this team in bubble position IMO.

Yeah, he was dreadful. He barely knew any non-Leafs players names and he couldn't keep up with the play at all.

Can’t help but feel that Boeser or Pettersson will be on their way out, and it’ll be within a month. JR is already shopping Brock around.

They should look at how to change what's here. It's pretty aparent JT Miller is excellent. If the right offer comes trade him if not works something out higher dollar over term. JB screwed this thing up so bad it's going to take some surgery. Itll be a boeser or a petey or a Miller or jorvat or oel or Myers. Maybe he can clean the cap up on tertiary guys but we'll see. Halak is def gone

I think it is rust also not fatigued.

Definitely. He's played what... 6 games in the last 4 weeks? He needs games not more rest.

I'd take him at any point in his career over most of the HNIC guys that I've heard the past few years.

I think speed and toughness is what the team lacks. I don't get the love behind Foote . He has done so little .

I sort of go the other way thinking get more scoring and toughness. The D while not great has been okay .

I think a team like the Habs need a center and I would entertain the offer of Josh Anderson ( yes I trolled him last year) and Caulfield for Petey and Poolman . That would add speed and some toughness. I watched Highmore and Motte get rocked by Smith today and no response again. I would also go after Kane .

Kane Miller Anderson would be a handful to play against.

The thing I’ve heard is they(Canucks new internal people) are more concerned about Brock’s longevity. I mean it’s obvious to us that he’s not that fast, so the concern is that he won’t be able to play in the league at 30 as he’ll be on the decline if still in the league by then. With JR and Boudreau wanting a faster bigger team, there’s no doubt that Brock’s days are numbered.

I disagree with everyone here. Start Martin to give the Caps a false sense of “easy win vs no name goalie” and then pull him for Demko about 10-15 minutes into the game.

Cherry was great fun. I listen to his podcast from time to time. Unfortunately he is really starting to show his age. I mean he's 87 and still doing what he loves, so kudos. Still some great stories too.

Most careers only last a full 4 seasons, good players are maybe double that. I think that we might start seeing an era where maybe 5% of players drafted in the last 5 years will be playing in the league beyond 30 years old.

Haven’t watched the past few games, typical American now with way too many things to be doing other than sitting at home watching tv during the day. 23°C today, partly cloudy though.

Three really tough teams for the Canucks to face, not to worry though, the organization is transitioning out of nearly a decade of poor management and coaching. Baby steps folks, just have faith in the process - we’re in a much better place

Bills vs Patriots game is great!!

Meh. It's a matter of personal tastes. If there's one thing I've learned from your posts though, it's that there's bigger homer morons out there.

Thanks Carol. Disagree with giving Martin a shot. It's getting into must win territory on this trip. You go with your best in those scenarios.

Ya we need a win, it needs to be Demko unless hes passed out from fatigue
