1) he walks as a UFA
2) he signs a long term extension, something like $7 x 7
3) he’s traded before the 2023 trade deadline.
I like him as a complimentary player on a team challenging for the cup at $5whatever he makes. If you’re signing Miller long term then you’re trading Boeser and/or Horvat I think. Big decisions ahead for Jim. - 1970vintage
I hope he's traded at this deadline, all the other options are 'Benning' options.
I liked them both. Gallivan was a strong personality. There was a guy named Ted Darling I liked as well that did the Sabres games back in the day. My Grandfather was convinced my Grandmother had a crush in him.
I think the biggest problem with Demko is lack of support. He's not getting many goals to back him. There's no margin for error in him and we've grown to expect near perfection with his game. We aren't outscoring anything he lets in at the moment. Nor are we getting the first goal to let him find his groove and settle into games. The quality of teams we are playing are putting a microscope on this.
Other than that, I think he needs game work. Practice is great for technical work, but too much can throw your timing off. Guys aren't generally laying out in front of shots the way they do in games. Defence is played with a different intensity.
As I mentioned in an earlier post I think he was starting to get things in the 3rd. Overall he'll be fine. He hasn't been that far off. One caveat, this is all my opinion. - Load Management
Thanks, I like your response, and yesterdays game was a good example. Other than that bullet OV put right through Demko, it was really good to see Demko in the groove with good support from the team.
I thought the team would drop the 1st two games because of rust and generally just no game shape, but the Canes seem to manhandle the Canucks. The Caps game was so much better and what I am expecting from Boudreau’s team.
Thanks for taking care of that. You mean hacking into a military computer and accidentally starting a thermonuclear war isn’t believable?
I watched They Live last night, and as cheesy as the writing/acting is, it’s eerie how poignant the concept is for todays society. There’s reference early on to a “cold” that’s killing people and the whole alien thing is about the growing wealth divide in the US. Turns out to be quite predictive. - 1970vintage
Whole movie is on Youtube
First time I seen this I was on acid, Grade 10 skipping out of class. Double bill at a buddies place with Evil Dead 2.

Just watched that one too. The scene where he’s fighting his own hand!

Can't even fault him on the OV goal - that went off a foot and slightly changed the trajectory. He almost had it too.
This team has a shot at the playoffs. If not, players like Pearson, Richardinson and Hoglander should be moved. I love Hoglander but despite his skill, his vision is poor. He would be a piece to get this team a top 4 RHD.
Pettersson needs to stay on the wing. Reunite the 649 line with Miller in the middle. Horvat gets Garland and Podz. Leaves the team short a 3rd line. Not an insurmountable chore for JR and the gang.
WTF is “acid” and why would someone put that in their body? Anyway….Petey will rock it next year and for the next ten years after that. Not to worry gents.

I know you don’t like music, but surely you’ve heard of a little known quartet called The Beatles?

I like music, it’s just not a big important thing in my life. I found 94.5 Kool FM here in Phoenix and listen to it now. My kinda stuff, along with some country of course.
It’s like reading, I read a book a month, however, I’m fussy about what I read. The last book I read was by Brian Cox called “The Wonders of Life”.

That's if you're weak minded. You need to drop a hit and go to a Phish show. - Marwood
Or go to the Molson Indy race back in the day. The cars going by at 200+ km was insane.
I couldn't handle it now. 8 hours being high and the hangover would just about kill me
To get rid of that contract, I'd take it. Hes not an NHL player. - chompsey
I agree. If you can dig yourself out of that contract, do it. It was a swing and a miss it seems on Richardinson. The team needs better pro scouting to limit these misfires.
Sorry, but I’m not clicking on any links you post. Best case scenario it’s a phishing attempt that steals all my banking info, worst case it’s actually a country music video.
