Oh man. Friedman with that red/purple. Cherryesque but actually have to say he pulls it off well

I don’t think so. He is still fantastic but seeing a lot of breakdowns and some bad puck luck/bad bounces. I think if he gets it back on track likely just a seasonal minor little blip.

I tend to agree. I think this is more about the system breaking down in front of him than any technical issues with Jack.

Hope the team can tighten the system and get back on track.

I don't want to bash on Jack much because he really has been great for us all season, but I don't think there will ever be "technical issues" with Jack because he has little to no technical. His technique is wing-and-a-prayer.

Edit: but 5 goals on 22 shots is really not good.

Yeah but how many can you really say were soft and Camobell’s fault over the team blowing a dead dog’s nose in front of him?!

Not many, I agree with that. But I have to step back and do my best to not be a hypocrite because the same thing happened to every goalie who's played for Toronto the past decade and my stance has always been that the circumstances don't matter. You gotta stop the puck. I do want to give Campbell the benefit of the doubt, which I did for guys like Andersen too, but eventually he lost that benefit. Jack hasn't yet so I'll allow it, but this still hasn't been a great game for him.

You realize it’s not necessarily one or another. It’s not been a great game for him.

Think you pointed out the bigger issue right there. From Potvin to Cujo to Belfour et all we rely solely on our goalies and if they cant carry the team and cover the warts, they take the brunt of it. Fact is we could clone Sawchuck and Bower and put em in there and we would still be coughing up 5 playing like this.

We’ve gotten waaaay better but we are still prone to just bouts of brutal play and a complete lack of defensive awareness.

Did Clifford take the block to the face? It look liked it deflected off his shoulder to his face?

You do realize not a lot of softies handed. Sorry but they ate not playing jn front of him and you leave guys aline on the doorstep no goalie is stopping them 9/10 times. We have to play in front of him.

Nylander taking shots from the blueline on a delayed penalty is classic Nylander

I can't really disagree, only that maybe they aren't "waaaaay" better, they're just better, and Campbell has made them look waaay better.
