actually, looking around the league though you'll notice younger players are struggling way more than they were a few years ago, their stats are generally on the decline compared to what they were prior to covid (which in a way makes sense, since rookies weren't able to play as much junior hockey because of the pandemic, thus slowing down their development).
anyway, regarding Suzuki, he might not become a superstar player but I still consider him as one of the team's rare bright spots, and his play hasn't been so turrible, considering how disastrous this season has been for the whole frickin' roster. under "normal" circumstances he'd probably shine a lot more.

obviously he's made a few questionable decisions at times, but I don't get how people can be so convinced that he's the worst coach ever. Scotty Bowman or Toe Blake wouldn't have accomplished much more under these circumstances, with that poopty roster. |
