There’s a difference between pinning all future hopes on past days and realizing that the franchise has been very successful in the past.

If I had it my way, they’d keep all former players away from running the team and bring in all new blood.

I wokldnt call it futility. I call it 46 years without winning it all. That’s the ultimate goal but they’ve been a very successful franchise up until them last 10 years. You’re not talking about the leafs here who have never won 3 rounds of playoffs and haven’t been to the final since 1967 and have lent had any player win any major award. They have the 3rd best points percentage in nhl history and have multiple deep playoff runs.

Actually. You said we’ve been futile since 75. I think they are a successful franchise overall which needs to sort out a path back to contention. With a consistent ability to contend you increase your chances but still need things to fall in place. Ie an amount of luck.

What ever happened to that assault charge against panarin from russia? I seem to remember that New York media said Putin made it up because he didn’t like panarin.

All I'm saying is he's a Center option that I haven't heard about in any connection to the Flyers. Not just now but earlier in the season when it may have helped improve the team with all the volatility at Center.

Why would he come here? Money. . .he's playing for basically nothing in the AHL on a tryout. As a hardcore Flyers fan, it would make the team more competitive and interesting to watch.

IMHO he would be a vast improvement over the Center juggling that's occurred all season
and he could be an asset to be moved at the deadline for futures. Having Staal on this team can't be worse than what's iced so far this season. Just my opinion. . .

The Flyers went 10:00 minutes in the first period without a shot on goal. They went 11:00 in the second period without a shot on goal. Not gonna win many games that way.

Yandle may be a nice guy and a good veteran, but I"m hoping he gets a very mild case of Covid, so he won't be on the ice.
