That's the hospitality business @ the theme park capital of the world for ya. gotta keep the occupancy rates high. pandemic be damned.
Surprised he still stayed there while doing a show up in JAX last night (and not having another gig until the end of the month way down in West Palm). That's at least 3 hours away with the traffic. Flying is not much faster either, even private, given the time it takes to get to and from the airports in both places. |

perhaps they aren't exactly the same across 'Murica but there are surely certain state laws regarding what happens with the scene of a crime/unexplained death, thus establishing how long it needs to remain accessible to the investigators and/or forensic team before it may be used normally again (hopefully.... lol). |

Blake is in the last year of his contract as GM, Bergevin is tight with Robitaille who's the main guy there, i really wouldn't be surprised if that had been the plan for some time. ://www.thefourthperiod.com/jan-2022/blake-expects-to-remain-kings-gm-team-could-be-deadline-buyer - Karine Hains
According to John Hoven of Mayor's Manor, the Los Angeles Kings have agreed to terms on a contract extension with general manager Rob Blake. The deal is reportedly for four or five years and will be made official by the team in the coming days.
"Mayors Manor has learned via multiple sources that it will soon be announced Blake has received a multi-year contract extension – believed to be 4-5 years in length," Hoven said on Sunday night.
During an appearance on Kings of The Podcast last week, Blake was asked if there was any reason why he wouldn't continue as general manager of the Los Angeles Kings. Blake said that he likes the direction the team is heading in.

Cause of death will be determined by the OCME. The OCSO has already announced there was no signs of foul play or any drugs or paraphernalia found. Thus there's no crime scene, nor is it necessary to preserve the scene of death.
Besides the personal effects taken to the morgue, his belongings will be held by the hotel until someone can come to collect them. It is a really nice resort hotel, commanding high rates, so I'm sure they're not in a particular rush to turn the room around. Besides, maybe he paid in advance and wasn't due to checkout for a few more days anyway.
Regardless, since he was found so quickly, and if the body is intact, there really isn't anything to do to the room besides the routine cleaning after a normal checkout. His probably wasn't the first death at that hotel, and it won't be the last. It happens more than you'd think.
I worked the front desk at a hotel when I was going to college, and in the two years I worked there, we had 3 deaths (the manager, my boss, told me it's usually more frequent than that). One was from a drug OD and the local law enforcement didn't make it a crime scene. It's just not something they do unless there are extenuating circumstances to go along with the body. I'm sure it's no different than anywhere else in the world, including Canada. |

Im happy Timmins is gone. It’s was way past his time. But Bergevin and Timmons may have left the Habs with a nasty D core for a very long time. Romanov, Guhle and Mailloux are 3 guys that can skate and really hurt people. Jeff Gorton must be loving this. Especially if Harris signs too.
Wait until Mailloux gets more games. He’s played 2 games in like a year and a half. His first 2 games at this level and has 2 goals, 2 assists and a +7. Very impressive. |

it feels fitting in an 80s kind of way that the niners and cowboys play in a playoff game. |

My guess is that Mailloux will never play a game with the Habs. They will end up trading him in my opinion. |

It is a pretty sexy matchup historically. Still...(frank) the Cowboys. Jerry is a lot of what's wrong with pro sports and Mike McCarthy can only succeed if the players are so skilled they overcome him |
