why would they be trading Allen..? I guess because they won't be able to trade Price and his anchor of a contract?
- Pat1993

imo Allen could go at the tdl. Price will have to wait till summer.

Ya the excuses are less and less impressive.

And when it comes to teachers, sure the conditions aren't optimal, but overall things are less complicated for a bevvy of reasons and our "heroics" have been overstated. The students have suffered the most and it has been underreported. Hell, i've gotten heat from some peers because i've been vocal about these facts.

so basically other teachers you work with wanted to keep playing the "victim card"?

have Montembeault start next year. leave Primeau in Laval. draft high again.
bring Primeau for the season after that. in 2023.

ok, pathetic move imo, if they're losing as badly again for another whole (frank)ing year I think I'll stop watching.

Yes. It's weird to explain, but I guess because i'm not tenured with 15+ years banked means "i don't understand"

I dunno, maybe for some they deal with reality differently, and it's somehow harder for them? anyway I think it's safe to say this poop has affected everyone, in one way or another.

not turning it around completely, but seeing some positive changes. having Montembeault as your starter is a complete joke, it's basically saying publicly "we're here to lose again!!"

Most is because they have been using the same prep for 10 years and don't want to sit down and modify it for online learning.

bah, they could sign a cheap starter for a year or 2. not a real improvement over Montembeault imo. not something that would make them compete right away. this will take time.

not what I am saying. I am saying this team does not win. with Allen they lose. with Montembeault they lose. and they will lose again next year who ever is in net. so might as well trade what you can for picks and be patient.

Well, seriously I just don't see how they could trade Price without retaining a lot of salary and at this point it would hurt the team just as much as keeping a him. But a Price - Montembault tandem could be ok if we want to pile up the assets.

I'm aware it'll be a slow process but that doesn't mean they shouldn't be making any progress either. Allen is the better goalie and does give you a better chance to win. I want to see the kids improve, in a more positive environment, not in an exact replica of the pile of poop that has been this season. agree to disagree I guess.

that's why it will take time. lots of very long contracts on that team. they won't be able to turn it around quickly.

sure, but what's the point of having a better chance to win if you end up losing anyway? lol

I thought it was obvious I was implying they would lose less than this year, therefore "progress" lol

no, I don't care who's in net. that won't make any difference.
THEY CANT SCORE. until they fix that.... they can play Tretiak for all I care, they'll lose just as much as this year.

meh, 95% of that team has had a career low, in a context where they were always very, very far from being healthy. wouldn't be surprising if many of those guys have a better season next year, if they're healthier... like I said, let bygones be bygones I guess, I just don't want to see them lose in a pathetic fashion all the time again, while you wouldn't mind it.
