Price has been poop for the past 6 years outside of a hot two month run.
What is classic is Habs fans over rating of their players.

I see the pain of the last playoffs has not left you friend.

Keep on healing!

IMO

this a deal to be done after the playoffs but before or at the draft.

10 mil cap hit will be tough to fit in on contenders with cup aspiration at the TD.

for sure they are taking a poop contract back, its not like we are going to be good next year either so to me its very, doable / plausible.

Some teams would be scary with an healthy playoff Price, The leafs, the Oilers, the Avalanche

- Xizord
hmmm Koskinen, Kassian, and Yamamoto for Price (retain $1.5M)
Doable if taking back 3 poop contracts!!!

By the end of his career, Price will own an important record. The goaltender with the most career losses in the NHL. He's, by all important metrics, been one of the worst goaltenders in NHL history. I hope he does land with the Oilers. He would be right at home.

but I keep hearing Price wouldn’t mind playing with McDavid…or Crosby…or Ovechkin….

Your forgetting Gretzky, Lemieux, Orr

But he's amazing when the right time comes.

You of all people should know how much that's important.

- Scabeh

When he is on, he is the best; *maybe* Vasilevski is better now.

There is some physical and emotional wear and tear though. It is an expensive risk with a big upside and big downside.

Besides, he would have to waive to go anywhere and is anyone sure he wants to leave?

Which metrics?

.917 regular season and .919 playoffs does not scream "one of worst goaltenders in NHL history"

I hate the Habs, but even I can't say he's one of the worst. It makes no sense.

You realize that he has more losses than anyone else at this point in his career? He's on pace to surpass the record for most NHL losses. He's accomplished nothing in his career. For some reason, people have this weird fetish with Price. He's a garbage goaltender and most people who know him also knows he's a terrible person with very little integrity. There has never been a more terrible human being in the NHL. Not to mention that he's cheated on his wife multiple times. History will rightfully remember him as a stain and the worst goaltender in NHL history.

1) Losses are team problem. Habs have had some terrible teams during his tenure. He's not the GM
2) Personality has nothing to do with hockey skills. A LOT of people hate Brad Marchand - he's done some stupid things. But no one can deny he's a great player.
3) If we blocked every player who's done "bad things" from the HHofF it would probably be pretty empty
4) your silly diatribe has made me defend a Montreal hockey player. I feel dirty and hate your guts for that.

Yes cause everyone cheats on their wife while she's pregnant.

I, unlike you, judge people based on choices they make. Price is a terrible person.

There must be an awful lot of movies you don't watch due to the behaviour of ppl involved with the movies - amirite?

And let's not start on the music industry...

I'll bet you were just thrilled to death when Gilmour was traded to Toronto - as that "cleansed" your team

You know who currently owns that NHL record? Martin Brodeur; certainly a terrible goalie.
https://records.nhl.com/r...losses/most-losses-career

Look at the other names in the top-15: Luongo, Roy, Belfour, Vanbiesbrouck, Sawchuk...not bad company.

Also, he's currently ranked 34th, but will soon be passed by Quick, Smith, and Anderson. He's 140 losses away from tying Brodeur. He averages 20 losses a season (I didn't include his 15/16 season when he only played 12 games). So he'd need to play 7 more seasons, not including this one, as the primary goalie to reach the mark at that pace. Seeing as he hasn't played at all this season, that's unlikely to happen.

You don't have to like Price, and his cap hit is absurd...but saying he's "by all important metrics, been one of the worst goaltenders in NHL history" is just being petty.

Holy smokes. We're going to have to ask you to step away from the edge. Did Carey shagg your lady in the can while you were winning the mechanical bull riding competition. He's a millionaire. Gals dig that. Let it go

Maybe the Canadians might like a goalie swap, Price to the Blues for Binnington, not a bad swap. Montreal would save on the cap (4+ Million) and Jake Allen can push Binnington like he did during the Stanley Cup run.

He takes issue with people suggesting Price is a good goalie. But he takes no issue with being called a kkk member. Seems like an authority on integrity to me.
