Hey Kick,

I got the Cafe Cubano from Mayorga... instead of the Winter/Holiday blend, after reading some reviews for the latter. Totally worth it. It'll probably replace the Muy Macho for the every day brew (the latter being a little too intense except on rare occasions when needed).

Even the decaf version is as good as the regular. Which I need in the afternoon an evening to limit my intake as I'm naturally caffeinated to begin with.

I think this may be Jimmy's coffee.

the Cubano is also muy strong, just not as dark.

Maybe the Muy Macho is too acidic for my gullet to have more than once per day. (EDIT: I make 16oz brews, so I'm actually having 2 cups of it at a time.)

But the Cubano is muy smoother, especially its finish. I think I like that better than the punch I get from the Macho.

Also, the tasting notes they include on their site are true. The Muy Macho is chocolatey, while the Cubano has the nice vanilla+smokey flavOUr. I think it may also be described as having hints of caramel/toffee rather than being "smokey"

EDIT: I think this may be the reason the Cafe Cubano is their best selling coffee.

PS: I think the Cubano is perfectly suited for espressos, more than the Macho. But I can't say for sure, as I'm too lazy to dig the espresso machine out of storage. Just going off the vibes I get from the press brew.

Maybe "thick"... but "honey"?

Didn't care for her character before all that poop, so I don't care one way or the other than am glad we won't have to see that character ever again.
