It always impresses the (frank) outta me when a story is well written and also has great art.
I think the best art from something I've read is from a manga called Green Blood. Absolutely incredible.

if you’re into ribald short stories, poetry and novels, bukowski’s stuff will keep you entertained
there’s even a poetry reading on audio from the early’80s called “hostage”👍🏿
i see it more as stand up comedy but that’s my taste in poetry and stand up 🤦♂️
if you’re more into non fiction first person narratives, “first they killed my father” is gripping👍🏿 |

My granddad died in the WW2, and my dad served our country 22 years as an Air Force Captain. Did only a couple years as a guard commander myself, but that vid just hit me like never before. |
