Yeah this seems right for sure. We all knew what you guys were getting with Hyman and hes living up to it, but im really impressed with Puljujarvi this year, hes really having a breakout year(playing at a 67ish point pace i believe). Definitely some depth issues though. Hows the Oilers pipeline looking after Holloway and Lavoie up front and Broberg on the back end?(not including Bouchard or McLeod since theyre up now)
Definitely agree though, i imagine someone like Ethan Bear wouldve been nice to have. Now i feel like Holland needs to find try to find someone like him lol. No disrespect to Foegele, but i didnt understand that move the moment it happened.

Hot start, he's cooled off quite a bit since. However, I still like his game as he's pretty damn responsible with the puck. Works his ass off defensively as well.

Xaiver Bourgault (2021 1st) has 22 goals and 42 points in 24 games in the Q. Right handed shooting center.
Matvey Petrov (2021 6th) has 20 goals and 51 points in 30 games in the O. Third in goals and the two players ahead of him are older.
Carter Savoie (2020 4th) has 12 goals and 22 points in 16 games at the University of Denver
Tyler Tullio (2020 5th) has 12 goals and 38 points in the O this season. Another RHS center.
Basically the only prospects they have. Cooper Marody should get a chance, but the lad is old.
and Broberg on the back end?(not including Bouchard or McLeod since theyre up now)
Defensively... it's actually pretty barren (obviously Broberg and Bouchard are pretty good prospects)
They drafted Luca Muzenberger (2021 3rd) who had a solid showing for Germany.
Dimitri Samorukov (2017 3rd) is a defenseman that is regarded highly amongst Oilers fans. Too bad he made two mistakes early in the first on Wednesday and played 2:28 in total.
Markus Niemelainen (2016 3rd) has played 7 games in the NHL. Gets walked around quite a lot, but the guy is a monster and crushes people. Better than Russell.
Vincent Desharnais (2016 7th), Phil Kemp (2017 7th), Michael Kesselring (2018 6th) are all guys that may get a few games in the NHL, but don't have a high ceiling.
Definitely agree though, i imagine someone like Ethan Bear wouldve been nice to have. Now i feel like Holland needs to find try to find someone like him lol. No disrespect to Foegele, but i didnt understand that move the moment it happened.
This was actually the only move that made a little bit of sense. Still mind-numbingly dumb though. Foegele is a solid player, forechecks hard and is a solid bottom 6 player that can play middle six if need be. However, trading Bear for him was absolutely stupid.
Bear liked Edmonton, but more than that was that his value was at it's lowest. Had the traded him after the 2019-20 season, they could have gotten a much better player back. He also dealt with a concussion last season, so his sophomore slump made sense. Giving up on him after a promising rookie season was idiotic.
That's one thing, but replacing him with Barrie, Ceci and Bouchard... christ. They had a good RHD lineup of Bear, Larsson, Barrie (Bouchard) last season, and replacing Barrie with Bouchard was the logical step.
They were always going to lose Larsson, but replacing him with Ceci on a 4x3.25 contract is unforgiveable.
Let's not talk about their LHD issues.
