If many HB users were rocket scientists, especially the bunch of armchair GMs over in Meltzer's Flyers blogs (one of them used the term "rocket surgeon," but I believe it was on purpose for lols), this is how the test launches would look like (from one of my favorite all-time movies):


My favourite is the last one. That was the actual Mercury-Redstone 1 (MR-1) unmanned test launch. The film edited it for effect, removing the firing and launch of the escape tower while the rocket was still on the launchpad (the distance shots, before the button-press, used a Mercury-Atlas launch, while the closeup shot was from the actual MR-1 test). EDIT: It is interesting how they figured out what to do in the end with a fully-fueled "live" rocket without hitting the range safety's destruct button, and the steps they took not to let it happen in the future. That's really what actual testing (no sims) is for!
