Juraj Slafkovsky's Player Profile
Brock Otten - McKeen's Hockey - Nov. 16th: "His production in Liiga has not been outstanding, but he is still an impressive prospect because of his blend of power and skill."
Ryan Kennedy - The Hockey News - Nov. 11th: "This kid has 'future beast' written all over him and playing against men has kept him sharp. Talented Slovakian plays with snarl."
Scott Wheeler - The Athletic - Nov. 3rd: "He’s also got a rangy, fluid stride, which makes him a surprisingly dangerous rush player — and impressive confidence with the puck on his stick, which enables him to hang onto it (sometimes to a fault)."
Sam Cosentino - Sportsnet - Nov. 3rd: "Has a number of weapons he can use to score, be it off the rush, with the one-timer or getting to the net front."
Corey Pronman - The Athletic - Oct. 25th: "He’s a big winger with legit skill who is a shot and pass threat. He skates well for his size, and can use his frame to win battles. Slafkovsky is a well-rounded winger with a toolkit that projects high in an NHL lineup."
Bob McKenzie - TSN - Sept. 30th: "The 6-foot-3 1/2 inch, 218-pounder is a man-child who is currently playing in the Finnish Elite League. He has the frame to play a power-driven game, but also has the speed, skill and flair to be a highly productive, top-line forward who can play centre or wing."
Craig Button - TSN - Sept. 30th: "Smart, skilled and assertive. He establishes his presence in the game with skill and physicality. Comfortable playing in any type of game and he has a burning desire to make a difference."
Scott Wheeler - The Athletic - Sept. 15th: "Slafkovsky is going to be a fascinating case study in this draft class because scouts are already salivating over his skill-size combination. He’s got tremendous hands for a player his size, especially in tight to his body, regularly beating the first layer of pressure one-on-one to make difficult plays into the middle of the ice."
Eetu Siltanen - Dobber Prospects - Sept. 3rd: "Slafkovsky is an offensively skilled winger with a big frame. He is physically mature and even though he already weighs 225 pounds, he has good skating ability – especially in his posture and stride power. He plays with good pace but he just needs to keep his legs moving to stay at that pace more consistently."
Steven Ellis - The Hockey News - Aug. 9: "From the Hlinka-Gretzky Cup - He had a tendency to take himself out of plays at points defensively, but we're still talking about a top prospect overall here. Slafkovsky finished tied for second in points by a draft-eligible forward with three goals and nine points, while also doing a lot of the play-driving for Slovakia's top line."
Ben Kerr - LWOS - Aug. 9th: "He is already NHL-sized and given his age could be even bigger. Slafkovsky is willing to be involved in the physical game, protecting the puck well in the dirty areas of the ice and forechecking well on the boards." |

ding ding ding, we've got a winner
100% agree
Yesterday on FB (and a movie thread I might add), a dude was trying to convince us all that the vaccine was giving heart attacks to pro athletes by the hundreds in the world and funnily / strangely enough aircraft pilots...
I'm like ok I’ll play and click on one of the links he provided, right at the top f the page the website is collecting money, yes there was an article "explaining" his point, but I coudnt get pass the top of the page

He's huge, extremely skilled, can't defend but loves to hit people and is a very fast skater once he gets going, but is slow as (frank) getting up to speed. Plays like an angrier Laine with less talent. |
