I dunno about that, look at the canucks, they've just won 5 in a row, unless you're saying Boudreau is better than Jesus... - Pat1993

I know, but still, generally speaking hiring a coach does provide a spark to the team... obviously they wouldn't make the playoffs (lol) but they would surely play better than they currently are. |

I think hiring a healer would be more viable at this point..

a coach would not be named be before the next gm is hired. that won't be before January. and then the new gm would have to search for a coach, that could take some time. so he would name his new coach in February or March, how would that help?
like I said, a new gm will want to bring his guy, but not at the begining of a rebuild cycle. that would not by wise. imo if they rebuild DD stays. if they reset, he could be gone after season ends. |

oh at this point I would keep DD to end the season for sure, and then assess with the new GM what should be done, considering who is available for hire as head coach.

But I was told he's an awful hire because they didn't give a french guy a shot instead... |

I saw the whole Petry after game comments...I mean, he did say "we know where we should be on the ice, but we just don't do it". What I heard in my opinion was more him saying that they don't have structure because they don't execute properly.
I don't think it was him really taking a shot at Ducharme the way the idiots at l'Antichambre are trying to spin it into. - stinger67
This. I've read the titles on Lapresse and RDS and I could not believe the delusional gap between what Petry said (which was almost like saying nothing) and the interpretation, like it was a Roy-Tremblay confrontation or something. |

it's what really (frank)ing sucks with the media in MTL, they're always looking for some sort of drama.

In some cases I find it is better to troll without names to make a point and potentially further discussion rather than to call people out which gets people defensive and turns this place into a mess (when have I ever turned this place into a mess?)
Nobody will ever convince anybody of anything here. Ever. But discussion doesn't hurt so no need to start naming people...that's petty |
