Plus add the level of fake info and vitrol out there, including people who refuse to adhere to the most basic of health protocols, this was never going to end well (or fast). In the past, we have mostly lined up for our shots, followed protocol, and done what is best for everyone.

Add to that we are a more global and mobile society than we have ever been.

So I appreciate the urgency around the request to help minimize the longer term impact, even if a little delusion around the hopefulness.

That's pretty much it. In the Spanish flu era, people were still getting around on horseback or by boat. Still lasted more than 2 years.

The end of this one isn't anywhere near.

I don't believe they were or are wrong about everything, but he sells everything as an absolute. It simply erodes public faith in the long run.
