I'm use to Toews having very slow starts to the season in terms of goals. It was only a matter of time. Battling in front of the net is a good spot to find some goals.

I don't think the flood gates will open for him, but do you think he can amass 15 ginos before seasons end? I think that's a reasonable target.

How do you guys feel about the trade? Happy for more grit/someone willing to drop the mitts? IMHO I think we won the trade but, it's not significant and we already have an abundance of fourth liners.

That trade was more about moving Krys out as he had basically no spot on this team or RFD. If we see Gabriel more than a couple of games it will be shocking.

I know, right!? I think that brief stint did what it was supposed to do. Not that I wanted it to happen as I'm a big Kurashev fan, but he's playing effectively. Dach even looks different. Scoring a goal will do that.

Edit: Columbus Blue Jackets defenseman Adam Boqvist suffered an upper-body injury during the second period on Thursday against the Anaheim Ducks. The defender had nine points in 17 games and was enjoying more and more time among the top-four Columbus defensemen. Boqvist even had six goals in 17 games including three of his nine points on the man advantage. He played just 3:42 and eight shifts on Thursday night. Boqvist appeared to have a hand/wrist issue along with some facial discomfort

Glad to see McCabe and Murphy back, and Gusto getting 13 minutes tonight looks much better than the one getting 18 to 20 minutes

Although I’m not a Gus fan, he’s okay at <15 minutes of TOI. Not a coincidence that Fleury pitched a SO with McCabe and Murphy back. With McCabe and Jones coming in this year, I was expecting better defense, and they have been getting that for the last fifteen games or so.
