Full house for a rivalry game

If you combined everyone we would fill up 3 sections.

They should try a 4th jersey that says “sweater” then we will pack that place.

That was a great interview with Blitzer, I liked a lot of what he was saying. So nice to have owners that actually care and are willing to spend.

Joakim Kemell would be the dream pick, but he's rising fast. Best release in the draft imo. Probably guaranteed to be top 5. I wouldn't be surprised if he challenges Wright for #1 if he has a big world juniors and Wright continues to have a mediocre year. Savoie is a stud too. But likely need to win the lottery to get either of them

Knowing Fitz though, I guarantee guys like Conor Geekie and Juraj Slafkovsky interest him. Because big.

I’m familiar with Savoie, don’t know much about Kemmell though. One of the guys I liked before the season was Mateychuk. Seemed like a guy that would go in the mid to late teens. Seems like he’s playing himself into a top 5-10 pick at this point too though.

The team in black scored. That’s who we’re rooting for……….., right?

2PPs tonight and we haven’t given up a short handed goal yet tonight either.

I'm actually convinced Zacha has insanely low hockey IQ.

This year I'm really thinking he's being carried by Hischier. He doesn't drive offense and his defense is just not there. If I were Fitz I'd be seeing if some team would like to buy high on Zacha. There are plenty of GMs who think draft pedigree and arbitrary stats like total goals scored is the be all end all.

Absolutely, fully agree. This is why I wanted to move him this past offseason. I'm sure there's a GM out there who still thinks he can be a good 2C, and will pay that price. He has a nice shot, whenever he decides to use it but that's about it

Make a package with Zacha to Minnesota for Fiala. They need centermen and may be willing to give it a shot. Wild are in cap hell and can't afford to qualify him next year.

100%. He should be the #1 target imo, even if its not until the summer because the Wild wanna keep him for a run this season.

I know its against the Flyers so take it with a grain of salt but the 4th line only played 5 minutes at 5v5, McLeod with 7(that line had 10-13 in previous games), and we just had our most dominant 5v5 performance of the season. Coincidence? Maybe, maybe not. Still could min/max it a little more but that is how the ice time should be distributed every single game.

We poop on the coaching staff a ton but i'll give Ruff credit where its due there. Hopefully its not just a one game thing and its something that actually continues

Jesper Bratts next contract is getting more expensive by the minute. He's now currently on a 75-point pace.

Fine by me. He’s earning his money. We need good players so I’m more than willing to pay for one. Easy for me to say when it’s not my money lol

Curious what a 75 point pace is worth in todays market, because I truly believe Hughes could have notched that and still been awarded the same contract extension. Instead, it was handed to the kid without taking any advantage of 2-3 RFA years and ensuring that he can actually produce through a full season. No denying Jack has a high skill-set, but I have plenty of concerns regarding health, consistency, and proven work ethic. Fitz just handed him the Clayton Keller contract with just 21 goals in 124 games... I don't see how Hughes could have played this season at a rate deserving more than 8M AAV, so why rush it?

Panarin, Trouba, and Fox were “gifted” to the Rangers. Add the “lotto luck” of the draft and they just had to sit back and relax.
- RubberBiscuitz

Lets not group Trouba in with those names. He is a cap disaster. He is Johnny Moore 2.0. Great skater, hard shot, likes they physicality. Unfortunately the game moves too fast for him and he takes undiscliplined penalties every other night it seems. Watched him all the time as a Jet, and he was infuriating. All the tools, but the reaction time was always too slow. 8 full seasons in the books, and just 2 north of 30 points. The Rags inked him as their 1RD, and he was 3RD by seasons end. If they kept DeAngelo he'd still be in that slot. We could acquire him for nothing, but who wants to give that guy 8M per season?

Fox was simply a smart trade, and Panarin wanted to play in a big market that was willing to open their wallet. Tough financial times ahead for them now tho, as I doubt they ship Kreider out, and Kakko and Laf will be tight to fit it after giving Fox and Zib a wage increase north of 11M AAV
