Slewfoot is one of the most overlooked calls in the NHL and has been for some time. Refs hesitant to call because its an automatic ejection and also because of incompetence or corruption IMO.

Slew foots need to be 5 minute majors because they're disgusting, but the refs are (frank)ing cowards and refuse to call them what they are. Instead calling it a trip, if they even call it at all.

Absolutely agreed. They should be 5 and a game.

To be fair to the bolded, the NBA refs legit say they won't call things for a rookie because "they have to pay their dues".

As horrible as NBA and Soccer refs are, there is no way with all the corruption and incompetence in those two sports that Rinaldo or LeBron ever have a player do what Dubois did to Matthews and there is no flagrant or red card. Not a chance IMO.

So is it possible the league handed out the 6 game suspension to allow for the appeal process to take place? The appeal brings the suspension down to 3 games and everyone looks like they played tough* during the process.
