DOPS is a %$#^&ing joke! And the injury excuse is a farce since he played the game and finished it. Pionk puts a guy out of the game and out all along and only gets 2? Spez has no track record at all either. Bloody pathetic right there. 3-4 maybe at most but what a farce.

The league is broken. What does an appeal do? it goes to Bettman of all (frank)ing people. He's never changed the ruling from an appeal. He does what weasels do: weasel.

By the time it goes to an independent arbitrator and they make a decision, 12-15 games will have passed.

It is a bad ruling. You know if Tom Wilson had done that 16 months ago, and then done it again, they'd have pretended his infraction from 16 months ago didn't even occur because he hadn't been suspended in over a year. Spezza has over 1200 games in 19 year and has never been suspended? No consideration. No concept.

People can think I'm whining, but they added 2 games for the crest on the chest. Parros has shown bias in his job before. They need new blood. New processes. A judiciary panel rather than an individual.

I'm also all for stiffer penalties - if they want to make Spezza serve 6, then start with harsher penalties across the board. Ignoring behavioural issues and PED use, the only suspension in the last year and a half over 5 games was when Kassian was suspended for _kicking_.

This is not the worst thing I've seen in a year and a half by a long shot.

Yeah they need to get rid of Parros and they need to have independant parties take over in there. I dont care who is heading it but make it independant not a former player or management guy. They have to fix this crap.
