I saw the one trade proposal on there that was Kap, Petts, a 1st and Hallander for Tarasenko.
- burgh4life87

I saw that, too LOL

Jokes aside, Tanev probably has a lot more value in a trade than Zucker right now.
- Rinosaur

It’s not a joke. Tanev can literally do everything Zucker can, plus isn’t a giant wussy. And makes less money. I always just figured Zucker made about the same as Tanev.

Why not?

Why would you want a below average goalie making 10m?

Man that Trouba hit on Khaira was bad. Like worse than Wilson bad. Like even I’m like that’s a bad hit. Can’t believe no one on Chicago really went after Trouba, this sport is going down hill.
Edit. Scrolled down YouTube and some guy did challenge him, the one linesman was trying to jump right in, the other linesman(I’m guessing the senior linesman) actually pulled the other linesman off to let them go. Never saw that before. Maybe hockey will remain apart from the other lane ass sports that this country finds amusing.

Reason 489 of why Seth Jones sucks and is a big wussy. It’s a disgrace he gets to represent the USA at the Olympics.

I believe Jack Johnson won a silver medal representing the USA at the Olympics, so the bar isn't that high.

Trade Pettersson this year and lose Dumoulin the following year and our LHD looks really bad. They can maybe find a replacement, but I'd think the plan would be to have Pettersson and Marino start to take the top 5v5 minutes.

It would be POJ over Riikola that got the call. Just look at how they were used earlier this year when we had Dumoulin and Pettersson out. Maybe he could fit with Marino, but is it worth the risk? Guess I'd want to see the team with Malkin first. Or try to find a different fit.

That’s how poopty USA hockey was 12 years ago. Whit, Orpik, Gleason, and JJ all on that silver medal team.

Ryan Miller was the only reason they medaled.

Real poop I'd move Dumo before Petts. Just because of age. But like I said they can take Matheson and Kap and like it lol

Khaira was leaning over with his head down trying to find the puck. Trouba did not extend his elbow or leave his feet. Sucks Khaira got hurt, but I didn't think it was a cheap/dirty hit.

I'd probably just let Dumo's contract run out. He seems to be slipping a bit, but such a comfort level with him and Letang.

Do agree though, I think Pettersson may be the team's most valuable LHD right now when you factor age and contract.

Although if we're looking at the off-season subtracting a LHD contract still makes sense as they try to replenish their forwards and have POJ to step in which is better then what they have in most other spots.

Gleason was a very underrated fighter. I always loved guys who wouldn’t fight often but when they do, they fight for real.

I'm noticing Marino being groomed to replace Dumoulin rather than Letang. Marino is still expected to provide offence. It's just more of a two way, defense first position. If that makes sense on a team that wants to attack at all costs.

This team is no longer "attack at all costs". The top 4 should remain untouched. Hell, I even like Ruhwedel for the most part. I've been saying for years that he is a viable bottom pairing NHL dmen. Matheson on the other hand... He blows. I think a pairing of Matheson and Marino would be a disaster. Two guys who have a tendency to get in over their heads a few times a game. Marino is however playing better this year.

Marino and Letang are both righty's. I'm assuming they'll just keep him in the 2nd pair as long as Letang is around. That's where he belongs.

That's a hell of deal the NHL made with ESPN. Most people in Pittsburgh won't be seeing Friday's game. I have the sports package with VZ and Center Ice and won't see the f'n game. A$Sholes.
