Blackhawks simply do not have sufficient weapons to compete offensively with most teams....Kane and Cat not sufficient. Have nobody else.
- shidler

If the other team gets four the Hawks have almost no shot. A ways to go just not a ton of offensive talent on this team

Foley really missing Panarin.

(well, let's face it, so is our offense)

Never was a chance to sign him after multiple bloated contracts handed out before. But he’s electric that’s for sure

Really miss McCabe and believe it or not Murphy against a team like this on the PK and clearing out the crease and just being physical

Yep, those guys were missed against the Rangers tonight, but I think the Rangers are better than the Hawks with them.

Hate to see a guy get hurt, now it’s next man up, probably Hardman, unless Entwistle is ready to go.

Just studies the slo mo replay. Trouba brought his forearm up to make the hit, wasn't his shoulder. He'll catch a slap from the league most likely.

Yep, then they added Fox, Panarin, and two top two picks to their team. Hawks are crappy too, add Panarin and Fox to the Hawks and they’re playoff bound. By the way, the Rangers are not as good as their record, they have been very lucky and getting great goaltending from Shesterkin.
- Angotti

The great goaltending part is true the first 10-12 games. As a team they have really taken a leap with gallant and built 4 good lines.

Have to tip my hat to Zibanejad for that assist to Panarin on their second goal.

After 2 violent KO'S since last March, it's hard to see JK coming back. If He does He won't be the player thought they signed.

Derek King on Jujhar Khaira: "He's up, he's talking, he's very responsive."

They've done some tests but there are more tests to be done.

Wish we had him on our team. Even if he doesn't score much. Look what we've got on our 3rd and 4th lines , no scoring anyway.

Real glad to here Khaira up and moving that was a brutal hit . Was thinking he was playing a good game head down in that area is a big no no

Great news, because that was rough to watch. I hope Trouba is suspended & fined.

Thanks for the update, pd.

New blog! A summary of the Blackhawks vs Rangers game that was marred not by just the 6-2 thrashing by New York but also by the Jacob Trouba hit that knocked out Jujhar Khaira.

Plus, quick thoughts on Chicago's pending free agents heading into the offseason.

When a guy puts his head down and keeps looking down in that situation he's going to get lit up like Trouba did. (unless he's playing against the hawks). And the "Dept of player safety" will bla bla bla about it. But at some point soon I think the players union should get involved and promote respect among it's members. It's against a checker's instinct to not go high in that situation and Trouba went high with his forearm. But he could have bent his knees and buried a shoulder into JK's chest. JK would have gone down and stayed down cuz he would have gotten the wind knocked out of him. But he wouldn't be dealing with the head injury issue he's going to be dealing with now.
Of course there's the other side of it where JK sees it coming at the last second and puts his stick up across Trouba's face in self defense. I've been on both sides of it and it's no fun either way. Just have to cross fingers for JK.

Toews has now become a nothing more than a utility center....Worthless
- shidler

Probably could get Yamamoto, a former #1, from Edm maybe for DeHahn if we would include Fleury for their #1 in "22. Oilers may want our #2 included.

Yamamoto is a depth forward, very slight frame and is a skill speed type. He would give us a center although I do not know if full time as a #2 line TOI means he would have to handle tougher checking.j

The issue for Edmontpn is that a DeHahn is not going to solve defense issues - they have too many weak to average dmen. Fleury however could be enough help to get them to the second round of playoffs.

You think it is a sellers market for both goaltender and dmen
