Ref appears to be explaining why they WON'T call anything

But as of late this year refs ignore it. I guess the scandal had made its way to the referees

Didn't have the puck, was a head hunting move. Hawks have no fighters. It's over. Move on. Where is Vandermeer23?

Principal point of contact appeared to be shoulder to chest to me. But the replay wasn’t conclusive.

Ref standing right there on the Dehaan penalty and the linesman out on the blue line has to make the call?

His head was down and he didn't move laterally at all. Sitting duck.

At least I take them on 1 on 1. Get over yourself, who cares if people don't like De Hann or Gus. Two weeks of great play will shut those people up. Ya think?

Bad mood yet again? Yet another post by you telling someone else what to post. The hypocrisy is astounding.

Again, why does it offend you that I pointed out something the announcer said? What a (frank)ing whiner....

At NO POINT was I attacking Vandy or telling him what he should post. I actually miss him for that hit and that hit would have been a good time to have a conversation about fighting. Since he is well for it, his voice would have been great. Nice try, but totally weak.

True. But that doesn't give the opponent the right to a free head shot. It looked to me like the 1st contact was elbow to chin. He appeared out on the way down.

Happened early on with me, never happened again. From then on when I lost track of the puck under me i looked where the opposing player was looking. If he was coming to hit me I'd move laterally. And if he was looking at the puck you knew kinda where it was and could at least tie him up. No way you want to get hit like that.

looked like a forearm to the chin. Hawks never get the call. But surprised they did not get a instigation penalty.

If a coach saw us with our head down in a game or practice we had to skate through the gauntlet, which wasn’t fun.

You told bigfly it's over and to move on. What if he wants to discuss it further? Would that offend you?

Why don't you just list the topics we are allowed to raise?

Simply incredible. Goddamn you can't see sarcasm? Did you read the posts for any context? I was in NO WAY telling that poster to literally MOVE ON. It was my frustration that one of our guys got put on a stretcher and there is nothing to do about it.

I mean (frank)ing seriously? You use THAT post to attack me? Good lord.

He had actually looked up right before the hit. May have been part of the issue b/c the shoulder that was headed for the top of Khaira's head, hit him on the chin and his head seemed to snap back.

I’m watching the Ranger feed and they didn’t show a very good replay, and they didn’t slow it down. You look to be correct

I have to ask, are clean legitimate hits typically the ones that put kids on a stretcher? I know the sport is hard and tough, but it shouldn't be life risking. Just want to hear a different view.

Remember when Hossa got put on a stretcher by that (frank)ing poopbag in the playoffs? I think I broke a remote.

Well the damage wasn't to bad in the 2nd period, hate that hit on Khiara hope he's okay. I guess that's one way Trouba doesn't have to worry about 16 checking him.

Great to see Hammer in the house...maybe our players can absorb some of his skills via osmosis.

I wish, though we could put them both in water and give it a try.

They do have video review at the stadium don't they? poopbags should look at it, i mean they took him out on a (frank)ing stretcher and all the refs are wondering what happened. Since it's not a penalty I'm sure the league will go through the motions but nothing will come of it. My angst isn't directed at you

The stretcher thing bothers me too.

I remember a year or so ago my son took a viscous hit, he didn't corral a pass cleanly as he's entering the zone and one of the leagues tougher hitters lined him up. He didn't see it and got hit, probably the toughest hit ever he had.

It seemed to be more of really horrible timing, kinda like tonight. Dunno.

Hits from behind, knee hits or hits to the head are the bullpoop hits that need to be out the game.
