Then you can obviously trade him and another team can negotiate with him.

Isn’t that exactly what I’m saying 🤨

No you were too worried about his Qualifying offer.

This Boudreau interview is fantastic.

He said he was "a believer in a lot of stuff", I think we heard something about stuff before.

If you can’t sign him to a long term discount then you have to trade him prior to having to qualify Him. They should be having those conversations prior to the deadline in order to maximize his value

Here's a tidbit from an NBC article about Ilya Samsonov

A qualifying offer is based on a player's previous salary. It is non-binding and a player must still sign it if he intends to play under it. In most situations, players do not sign qualifying offers and continue negotiating with the team to come up with a new contract.

I'll add, unless Boeser really tanks this season and thinks that QO is his last real NHL contract, I would imagine he would negotiate a longer contract.

I’m definitely not the only one that wants to trade Boeser. But ok

I’m saying at his current contract, he still may have trade value to a contender this season. When the contract is up, he won’t. So rebuild his value and move him at the deadline
- CanuckDon

This.
I'm over Boeser.
He was a sniper and had a wicked release.
now he seems slow and one dimensional.

Build up his value and move him at the TDL.

Love how he knew his system in Minny was solid defensively by acknowledging the scoring chance stats and basically called out a declining old Dubnyk as the reason why they gave up goals.

Meanwhile Green’s teams constantly allow a poop load of shots from the net front/slot area and puts a ton of pressure on his goalies to bail the team out.

I’m sure it’s going to take a few weeks to change things but I’ll bet eventually Demko and Halak will have an easier time in net.

I look forward to having a forecheck again. And defensive pressure on the puck carrier.

It did take Sutter a full training camp to get those boys going so I’ll cut Bruce some slack coming in mid-season to take over a team previously coached by Green/Baumer

11th highest scoring RW in the league since he entered. What are the chances you get that again?
