I agree. He was part of management when Shero held onto Hynes for too long, so hopefully he learned from that and doesn't make the same mistake.

And once again McLeod and Vesey have more 5v5 TOI than Hughes, Nico, Bratt, Johnsson, and Zacha. Can we get a coach that will just give our best players the most ice time? It's not that hard of a concept. There is zero reason why every single line should constantly be almost equal in 5v5 TOI.

The whole "put McLeod out for every face off" is really (frank)ing with the team. If he wins the faceoff you're stuck with a useless offensive player in the zone who then ends the play so what was the point of winning the faceoff anyway. If it was defensive situations only then whatever.

McLeod and Bastian are fine 4th liners. But once their roles are expanded they get exposed because they just aren't that good of players. They look good when they are playing against the other team's 4th line so why not just let them do that every game and be content with that.

But, but, but, they play the hard minutes against the oppositions TOP unit!!.....this methodology should only be in place against team with a lethal top unit, not the Senators!!
