He let the run and gun happen but just preached that players needed to "get back" and play the 200ft game. He let the game open up alot more than other coaches. Bruce is similar but at least has some experience.

Give it 6 months until #teamwhiner is calling for the heads of the new staff...

Ovechkin has a desire to win, always has, but I don't know about "heart". Ovechkin didn't start back checking until a few years ago. He has evolved and matured so much in the last few years, but he was dogpoop defensively for soo long.

Boudreau has always been an offense first coach. I think we see the players with a bit more creative freedom.

Might work out as well as Virtanen or OJ. Hopefully we don’t wait 8 years to figure it out. I’m kind of amazed such a failure of a GM in franchise history still has so much support.

AV coached one of the most boring styles of hockey back when he was successful with the Canucks too. Its not always pretty.

Brucey has experience coaching some very talented players over the years and Canucks need that.
